| My ex-boyfriend only called me by my name once during our "year long" relationship. Otherwise, he would call me "hon" or "babe," something like that. I know he wasn't dating anyone else, so it wasn't as though he didn't call me by name so he didn't get names confused... But, I just thought this was odd and wondered if anyone else had encountered this?

| My first husband always called me "Honey". I would tease him and say he only did that so he wouldn't accidentally call any of us by the wrong name. When we split after 16 plus years and he called me by my name it sounded so weird! He calls his second wife "Hun". I am thinking like short for Attila but I can not verify that.

| Mine never called me anything.........was with him for 19 yrs......would just start talking or ask me question without saying any name......I always addressed him as babe,hon or his name......If he called me at work, he would ask for me by name. Then when I got on the phone he would say "it's bob" and just start talking..... ..........After awhile I accepted it and did'nt question him about it anymore, because I never got an answer to Why.

| My fiance called me practically everything in the book, but always stuck to "puppy", which I adored. My first name usually popped up followed by middle name and last name, if i heard full name, I knew I was in trouble.
