| What if you really liked someone that worked at a Quizno's and didnt speak your language but learned it so they could talk to you? What would you think of that person?
I edited out the pay part because thats not the case, its where they work cause of the issue.

| To me it doesn't matter how much this person is making, I wouldn't judge a person on their wages. If they learn the language just to talk to me I would be flattered. JMO

| I agree with painter...I am not really that shallow that I really give a shit if someone is making more or less than I. If they want to talk to me, great I am always up for chewing the fat.

| Well my friend is a corporate lawyer and this girl in Quizno's is all over him and he really likes her too. But the thing is she dont speak english and then we went today for lunch and she was able to say a partial conversation with him. So on the way back I was like man why dont you go out with her, he was like well she works there and my parents would freak out. I was like you need to forget your parents your 29 years old. I hope he goes for it, they would make a great couple. He also said he feels stupid cause he cant talk to her I dont know what to tell him.

..... i'm not trying to be a smartass, but...
i'm having a hard time beleiving she learned a language,
just to talk with 1 person,.....
if she did, that would be a bigtime ,"compliment"
the only reason why i say that, is because....
i dated someone, from a differant country...
she swore up and down, we would get married.... blah, blah ,blah
anyways,... she got comfortable, living here...starting meeting people
came home for lunch from work.... everything was gone.... i mean everything
even the damm trash..... everybody i talked to told me ,
she had it planned...........
damm, i hate when that happens..........

| As a friend you tell him to stop worrying what his parent's think "oh wait" you already did that good man  .
Now recommend that he go to amazon.com or Borders and grab a copy of "whatever language" for dummies, if he's that into her this shouldn't be too huge of an inconvenience..
She's taken the time and effort to breach the barrier obviously, if he's that interested meet her part way ..

| Well hes jewish. So its gonna be hard for him, I just couldnt believe she learned how to talk to him. We have been going to this place for like 6 months, I hope it works out hes a nice guy and has alot to offer to the right woman. I just wanted to know what people thought about how its all came about. Thanks for the input!
