It seems that communication is not the problem, but understanding and committment may well be.

At this age, it is a great deal easier and less dramatic and much less emotionally draining to be alone and have lots of friends than to put forth all the work and stress of a relationship with just one female.

Of coarse, one female is almost an oxymoron considering so many women are so multifaceted it is like trying to get to know six to ten people, all in one body. For men, this is a most confusing and singularly the most difficult thing that we face in life.

Just my opinion, but then you did ask for our opinions, didn't you ?

It can be you OR it could be the men you are running into. Some men communicate better than others, just like vice versa. It all depends who you run into. It's the luck of the dice.
Good luck.

I have no issues in communication, but I do think men and women have different definitions of communication. I guess what I mean is that the two genders go about it differently....say the same thing but in different ways. So men seem to be a little more "harsh" in what they say, and women "Sugar Coat" it.

It's a fact that women speak 3 times as many words a day than men do.
Sometimes I sit in front of this computer in a daze wondering what I'm going to write.
DUH
Sometimes I'm on date and I just don't have anything to say "DUH". Right now I don't have anything more to say "DUH"

Just pull their trigger and you'll get the communication you desire. Sometimes some guys just need a little nudge to get them to open up.

Then there are those you could smack with a 2 X 4 and never get them going. Just leave those lying in your wake.

Depends on topic/interest, but often over-analyze (may just mean I'm slow) which can be interpreted differently

Caution may also play a role especially if some red flags are going up

Approach also means allot – soft approach may work best

PS - Sometimes I take the time to know what I'm doing

If you ask a man about himself, he may communicate more. Ask a man anything about sports(favorite teams or has he been watching the basketball games), what he does at his work, general family questions (does he come from a large family, etc.), or how he ended up on a dating site, what he does when he is not working. That is how you get a man to communicate.

This isn't a gender thing. Women has issues with communication. I work with a bunch of ladies and quite a few of them run to the manager rather than talking with the person they have the issue with. Like, do these people do this when they are in a relationship???

I'm actually much more comfortable talking about things to a woman.
