| rlbitinpa,
I had no doubt you were a Clinton supporter. You didn't seem to understand what I meant with my other post. It was ok for you to post FALSEHOODS about Obama...the rumors/emails that have been going around for months on end. Yet when someone puts something offensive to Hillary...you get upset??? We all have our own beliefs...I won't try and push mine onto you and I would appreciate that you would do the same courtesy for me. To accuse me of being in a cave for upteen years is uncalled for. I will vote for whom I believe is the right person. It will NOT be influenced by half truths/rumors.

| Sassysherri.....
I did not post falsehoods. I merely posted something that was written by a noted columnist. The pic that was posted was in extremely poor taste, whether it was about Clinton, Obama, or McCain. This is America, and even though there are those that can fix an election, you have the right and to vote your choice. But just a side note, the tide is turning, even the super delegates are beginning to show a switch. I would also appreciate if you would not accuse me of something I did not do. The main objective is to vote, regardless of who you vote for.

Please do not catagorize me, or for that fact, everyone in San Francisco! That is where I was born and raises and EDUCATED! I do not have the values you spoke of. Neither did my parents. Please in the future, speak for yourself. ( I wish Blackwell could read this)

If there are Americans out there that don't know by now, Bill Clinton was not impeached, they need to be in the car with morles! How embarrassing for them!I supported Hillary 100%! I wish Al Gore would have ran.
Ldy-4evertrue
You say as an American, I have an obligation to vote? Even if I don't like any of the candidates? That would make me an idiot, don't you think? I choose to follow my heart and mind when deciding important matters. Maby more people should try it..

In my opinion; Bill Clinton is a very intelligent man. He does not need to be controlled by Hillary.I also think Hillary is a very intelligent woman, and she is probably sick as hell hearing that about Bill!(just my opinion)

| Mr Blackwell has the right to state his opinion. Unfortunatly it would seem that that opinion is extremely biased. We bend over backwards in this country to gaurentee the right of free speach, even when those speaking spew, in my opinion, racial poison from their mouths like the putrid vomit this man emits. He is an ultimate publicity seeking racist. As long as his speaches are shown in the media he will continue to spew more vile comentary.

| I'm with you, look and read the end times in Revelations. I have thought this many times as well. And it has been evidenced in the papers, internet about his allegience
The New Yorker now knows how far it has gone, (the limiting of free speech).
He's all over the map trying to apease everyone, and you just can't do that and lead this country, get a grip and pay attention now, it's a farce!
What do you think this oil crisis is really about and the refusal to up production, to ease up and bring peace now. No it is to be saved for the next Pres, to give a (false) world peace (3 years) and ease our minds, it's part of the action plan in Revelations
If your not debt free you should have been.. I'm not and will pay the price when the time comes.
His Engine is full throttle to the White House. The Electoral college is on board..

| well, first off that "White House" thing has got to go, rip out that rose garden and put in something usefull, like a watermwelon patch, get rid of that spiked fence and get a split rail fence in, to sit 'neighborly' on it and eat aforementioned melon slices.
Good grazing for the camels out back and those bedouin tents should sure brighten up the East lawn. One of my first Edicts of The new order of Obama will be to take Hillary as my second wife, and have ole Bill catrated and made into my eunich. Other Obamaisms will follow. | The problem, as I see it, is... most people ARE either democrats or republicans ... which causes candidates, with potential to make a change, slip through the cracks. An example...

Texas Congressman Ron Paul has warned the House that he is "convinced the time is now upon us that some Big Events are about to occur." that will cause liberty to go "into deep hibernation".
Paul told the House, "These fast-approaching events will not go unnoticed. They will affect all of us. They will not be limited to just some areas of our country. The world economy and political system will share in the chaos about to be unleashed."
"There are reasons to believe this coming crisis is different and bigger than the world has ever experienced. Instead of using globalism in a positive fashion, it's been used to globalize all of the mistakes of the politicians, bureaucrats and central bankers," Paul continued.
In one of Paul's most memorable speeches to date, the Congressman spoke of rampant authoritarianism having replaced the principles of liberty that the United States was founded upon and warned that current empire building financed through inflation and debt signals a most frightening period in history.
"Our arrogance and aggressiveness have been used to promote a world empire backed by the most powerful army of history. This type of globalist intervention creates problems for all citizens of the world and fails to contribute to the well-being of the world's populations. Just think how our personal liberties have been trashed here at home in the last decade," Paul urged fellow representatives.
Paul outlined the history of the current economic crisis and alluded to key events such as the inception of the Federal Reserve System, the creation of the Bretton-Woods Monetary System and the creation of a "dollar bubble".
"This bubble is different and bigger for another reason," Paul argued.
"The central banks of the world secretly collude to centrally plan the world economy. I'm convinced that agreements among central banks to “monetize” U.S. debt these past 15 years have existed, although secretly and out of the reach of any oversight of anyone--especially the U.S. Congress that doesn't care, or just flat doesn't understand."
Yesterday, the Congressman also confronted Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke over what he described as a 35 plus year dollar bubble, telling him "You are probably the biggest taxer in the country", citing the inflationary fiat money system as the most unfair and regressive form of taxation there is.
A stunned Bernanke put up little resistance and simply agreed with Paul stating, “Congressman, I couldn’t agree with you more that inflation is a tax, and that inflation is currently too high.”
Paul also pointed out that government bail out packages for lenders will inevitably lead to a further increases in the already stratospheric national debt.

| Well, this is a spirited thread. Lots of passion on either side of the aisle. I have to agree with tumbleweed and penni; I don't believe we have a say in presidential elections because the electorial vote will always override the popular. However, daddy that was hysterical no matter if you are Republican or Democrat. Lucas I do look at the persons political philosophy and you are correct..it is very important. Now how about that... a politician couldn't have straddled the fence any better than I just did could they?

| WVPenni and Tumbleweed are correct. This little FAQ is directly from the government's Electoral College FAQ.
Is my vote for President and Vice President meaningful in the Electoral College system?
Yes, within your State your vote has a great deal of significance. Under the Electoral College system, we do not elect the President and Vice President through a direct nation-wide vote. The Presidential election is decided by the combined results of 51 State elections (in this context, the term "State" includes DC). It is possible that an elector could ignore the results of the popular vote, but that occurs very rarely. Your vote helps decide which candidate receives your State's electoral votes.
The founders of the nation devised the Electoral College system as part of their plan to share power between the States and the national government. Under the Federal system adopted in the U.S. Constitution, the nation-wide popular vote has no legal significance. As a result, it is possible that the electoral votes awarded on the basis of State elections could produce a different result than the nation-wide popular vote. Nevertheless, the individual citizen's vote is important to the outcome of each State election.
The second paragraph, second sentence says it all. Read it and think about it. The Electoral College is no longer useful. With instant media, computer voting, and the internet, this entity has outlived its usefullness.
Oh, and by the way...There is a third choice in the coming election. Senator Robert Barr is running as a Libertarian on what reads to me as Dr. Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty platform. I don't agree entirely with Sen. Barr's platform, but it does strike me as Barry Goldwater Republicanism. If any should be interested, www.bobbarr2008.com Check the issues section...You might be surprised that we do have an alternative.

| For 50 year old citizens of this country that do not know
more about our own government in my opinion it is either
stupidity or laziness that there are such asinine comments
as I have read here. A few educated comments have been made
but the bulk has been only so much democrat/liberal/socialist/communist
propaganda, Stalin's 'living will' was an instruction guide on
how to further communism in the world, infiltrating the U.S. and
U.K. governments and causing a general feeling of hopelessnees/helplessness
is one of the first things to do. That's been going on since the beginning of the 20th cent. In the late 40s and 50s the State Department was full of communists.
In Russia when there wasn't enough bread there was still plenty of Vodka.
Breaking down of the citizens is a big part of the plan.
Communism is not dead and gone it is part of the Stalin guide book
to pretend that it has failed to get the rest of us off guard.
Look people the Library is Free they even have videos and DVDs and CDs to borrow.
The only excuse that Americans have for 'not knowing' is too lazy to find out.
If you keep it up, you won't have to worry about making choices.
