| I found out 2 years ago I had fibro. I was taking Wellbrutin and one of the side effects of that med. is muscle pain. Well 6months later I couldn't walk, sit or bend, I hurt so bad I was only able to work 4 hour shifts.I was a housekeeper, very phsyical job. I was like that for 3 months. Then was better and able to work 8 hour shift. That lasted for 2 years, eventually had to get down to 32 hours a week. I lost my job in August. Getting back to the my question I have it mostly in my hips, and I can be sitting and all of sudden I get shooting pain in my hips, pain that makes me stop what I'm doing pain. Oh going up stairs are a real joy, Was wondering what other ppl experiences are with fibro

| I have fibromaylgia and what you discribed, is the same way that it startwith me. I couldn't walk, stand, lay down for too longand sit for any length of time. I had to go to theraphy to learn to walk, do things around the house, etc/ That was 9 yrs ago. I had to quite working. As the yrs have went by, it's not getting better. my eye sight is failing, I hav a arm that I can't use much anymore. Walking is still a pain. I don't wish this on anyone. I am in depression. I will keep you in mind and I hope this treats you better than it has me. I don;t know where it's going to end.

| Pisces, I think Foxy wants to say your "sciatic" nerve, which runs from your lower back through your buttocks.
I was diagnosed 12 years ago, and spent 2 years almost bed-ridden. It was a very slow trip to this point, where I can
handle my life with some quality, but I have never been able to return to work.
I have very limited energy, get pain very quickly if standing more than 5-10 minutes, cognitive problems sometimes,
get stressed/overwhelmed easily, but haven't had to be on meds for the last 6 years. I used to have tinitus, balance problems, joint pain, sleep 22 hrs/day due to inability to sleep deeply even with pills, exhaustive fatigue, anxiety, depression.
I am on meds, but not for fibromyalgia symptoms. Did you know there are approximately 124 different symptoms?
Some of my other health issues are, in my opinion, resulting from the lack of exercise/activity/stress:
high blood pressure, high cholesterol, gout (another form of arthritis), diabetes, and a stroke about 6 yrs ago.

| Thk, Foxy! I just thought in case she wants to look it up on the net, she'd find it.
A bit of unintentional humor there, by you: if it was static, it wouldn't hurt so damn much!

| Depends on the day but most generally I'm bothered with all over pain, sometimes even my skin hurts to be touched, major stiffness, burning muscles, anxiety and sleeplessness. Like Rose said cognitive problems are a huge issue as is exhaustion.
I've read it is not a progressive illness but I beg to differ with that one. All I know is this has made me old long before my time. Because I am so limited by illness, depression also takes its toll.

| I can sure relate to what you said Garnetlady. There are times you can't even stand to have clothes on. Talking about aging before your time, yes yes yes and yes to the depression. I am not gald that you are suffering also, I'm glad someone else is out there that can relate with what people with Fibromyalgia goes through. I was diagnosed 9 yrs. ago and I can sure tell how much this thing has pulled me down. Sending my best to you and hope to be able to chat with you about this someday.
