| (I have to give a disclaimer here, first...Guys...I know you all are trying to come up with better and newer ways to meet people and have an original pick up line...I do...I really do. Honestly, most of you really have it down to the art)
HOWEVER...whats with this method like you have known me forever?
Honestly, is there a thread going on somewhere in the Men's secret rooms which is saying that chicks respond better that way?
I would really want to know, because I wanna go there and let whoever came up with that, a piece of my mind.
I seriously think its a new movement because I have had about 20 something emails, just during the past 24 hours, all from different guys who started out on their first email, by very familiar way of talking, some even by calling me pet names that are reserved just for the man who shares my bed.
Get a grip...be original...be witty...be charming...but most of all;
Be a GENTLEMAN.
How about you guys say what your online pickup line is, and us girls, help you with a or a .

| Could be worse They could just state what they want then you would really get pissed. FYI it's probably something from one of dating gurus.

| That email came from someone whom I had never even exchanged posts with. Nothing prior.
The same pattern in the other 20 or so I got since Friday night...something fishy is going on...maybe some article on msn or yahoo...who knows.

| Women can be the same. I got an email from someone on this site who was calling me sweet heart in the second email and was talking about marriage about that time. Didn't last long.
Added this:
The emails from women that get my attention and the ones of mine that get answered almost always make reference to something in the person's profile. My profile says atheist in at least two places and I get emails from women who list themselves as very religious.
If they mention reading - reference books same with movies - motorcycles - gardening etc.

| I don't use pickup lines online or offline when meeting women in public.
Online, I keep it very basic and simple. If she's interested in communicating she will. If not she will not respond no matter how long and extravagant and email is.

| I, do not use pick-up lines...Like the jon, I simply do email and see where if anywhere it leads. Unlike him, I do send out emails, but as I stated in another thread if they don't want to continue, I say thank you and move on.
Sorry, but this thread is prob dead now...

| well daddyduck you didn't kill the thread....
pick up lines.. hmmmmm
well I suppose it's supposed to be a compliment but first time emails telling me 'I'm hot and they'd like to talk to me, give me their personal email address on top of that is a total turn off....
Say hi , like the profile or you don't or you like the play list or you don't. ask where I got those pictures of the classic cars or what ever caught your eye..
BUT I'm NOT hot.. I'm ME.. guess I need to put on some ole jeans with oil stains, battery acid holes in them, forget the minimal eye makeup I use and not wash my hair.. Would I still be hot.. LOL... what is hot anyway.. ah it's on the stove..now that's hot... or the classic cars or someone's Harley now that could really be HOT...
Guys you're not all bad, just hmm maybe need to be a little less intense and just say HI ... those get answered, the hi I like this or that not just I like your profile.. what is it you like? no clue .. can't read between the lines and if you're under my age limit and you think I'm 'hot'... most likely I will just tell you I've raised my kids and TY if you were nice in that email that is...

| well, quite honestly, i've never been one to "cultivate" pick-up lines.
but, if i WERE to use one, it might go something like...
"you had me at, 'GET LOST!' "
you get a woman laughing, you're half-way to her heart.
