| I think it is true....but not always. They also say that you can tell what a woman will look like when she is her mothers age. Not always true there either.

| From what I have seen, if the guy loves and respects his mother but is not tied to her, he will treat his wife/girlfriend well and with respect. If he idolizes his mother, the wife/girlfriend will always come in second place - not good. If he does not respect his mother, but loves her only because "she is his mother", he will be disrespectful to his wife/girlfriend. So I guess you can tell how he will be with his mate if you watch how he is with his mom.

| Absolutely I agree, it is actually how both parents raised you, that is how your son or daughter will turn out to be....with respect, or no respect at all......i dont think any guy would want that reputation...then you get that bad rep on the street, so i see what kind of parents raised you....they bring both parents in the pic, but if it is a single mother, then they just abuse her, well i see what kind of mother raised you....and thats sad....so i would say yes, it is all based on how you were raised....all the way...

| Not sure, but from the other perspective. I'll be very proud if my son treats his wife the way he treats me. I've already seen my values about women instilled in some of his day to day comments and things he does for other women.

Eh, I don't hold too much water to this saying. He could be real nice to his mom, because she is kin. But be a bastard toward his siblings, animals and partners. It's a good chance that his nurtured life attributes to his current behavior. He could take cues on how his mom was treated by his father and other men and view that as normal behavior, good or bad.
So I would revise that saying You can tell a lot about how a man will treat you according to how he witnessed his mom being treated.

| No I do not think a man will treat a woman like he treats his mother.Men are all raised in different ways. The examples they have seen can be good or bad.Even the ones who were raised in great homes and treat others with respect can end up being rapists or murderers,cheaters, abusers. The mind can be filled with allot of crap from books, videos, the internet, influence from those they hang around,fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, drugs,etc... I just hope that whatever any of you have gone through in your lives, good or bad, you will choose to make the better choice in the way you treat any one.

| I don't know its hard to tell sometimes. I was married to a mamma's boy which I hate. He treated his mother like a queen. I was treated like shit cause I would not baby him.
