I've been on the site for a few months and the only type of men i seem to come across are no good. It seems like this whole thing is a joke for alot of people. Why would you invest time into something for so long just to play on the emotions of the other person? Are there actually any decent guys on this website?
Is there one single person who has found happiness on datehook up?

Yes, there are people you will find who have found happiness on this site if you go to success stories on this home page....i still do believe there are good men out there, its just a matter of picking and choosing the right one.....i like a few men on here but yet i am still skeptical of actually going into their mailbox and asking them to lets make a go of it....when my time comes i shall do so....of course there is going to be a few bad apples, maybe even more, but you will get to weed them out im sure....i have alot of them that i weeded out and they have been blocked for good......you will see in do time. good luck.

I found a decent person the first day I was here. He was brand new to internet dating...and he wrote to me. We agreed to meet for lunch, and we hit it off.

Then I made the mistake of not realizing he was a normal human being, (as opposed to a man who has been on the net for a very long time) and not taking my profile off here and paying the attention to him that I should have.

He took his profile off right after we started dating. I, of course, didn't do that. I play in the forums. He was at my house one day and my computer was on..he saw that I was still on the site, so he made another profile just to come on and check out what I was doing...read my forum posts, decided that I was way too involved with an online "life" and decided that I was not the type of person he wanted to be involved with.

So probably I have lost one of the very few truly decent men ever to hit the net.....and I've been looking for a long time.

My advice to you...hunt for yourself instead of only responding to emails from the men that mail YOU. And stick to the profiles that say "new". It does not mean they are totally new to the net, but still you will run a better chance of getting someone who is not addicted to female net attention and has not yet learned how to play the "greener pastures in the next email" game.

If it's here I haven't found anyone yet? I have found more married, lying, sneaky men on here then real single guys. But my heart keeps telling me, there are still some good men out there, so I keep looking!! Good Luck to you also.

It's the luck of the dice as with everything. There are some men and women that are no good and only play games, and there are some great men and women who are true and sincere.

I've met some good women off the site and conversely I've met some asses too. If I do come across bad apples, I simply move on. I don't worry about it; life is too short.

I don't see it either, happiness or good partners on these dating sites. I am a male, in a different age bracket and all of the ladies ads read alike and they all seem to be living in fantasyland. They are all looking to "laugh", "laugh", "laugh", walk on the beach until they croak, and travel the world when they have never been outside the city they live in. They want a partner but he has to be "LTR", the latest new acronym they have mastered. So, unless a guy commits to LTR from day one, they won't go out with him. How can I commit to LTR when I have never met you?
