Like wearing suspenders to keep their pants up?

Give me an example of an old fashioned value?

Yeah, i believe i do but with todays economy, no way i could afford the wife to stay home. I do believe my values are definately not of todays. Just for example, i believe in waiting until married before having sex or even living together. Old fashioned values, where have they gone.

Sure there are those of us that possess those kind of desires. However, for the most part womens desires to be in the work force and do to economic realities, that "old fashion value" has had to go by the wayside.

However, values of gentlemen currently are based in general from what age group they stem from. The younger the less family values, the older they grasp the need for them some, and so on. Responsibilities increases their desires towards home and family based values. JMO

Most women just wanna be lazy and sit on thier butts and not work. Come on taking care of a house isnt that hard i can clean up in a matter of 15 minutes. Sweep, vaccume, dishes, trash out, then dust and mop once a week. Laundry well thats easy to so come on get a job and clean up i do it.

i understand what you mean. the working isnt the issue, but i have to say that when it does come to her working that should be her option and not a must. if she didnt want to work, thats fine. i would work 2 or 3 jobs if need be. what ever it took. or maybe do without some of those extras. i just feel it is the mans place to step up. not just words, i have lived it. i am old school. which isnt very popular sometimes. i dont remember my ex ever having to open a door or having to walk in behind me. i supose i am silly about some things ie when we go to eat, i never take the first bite and i never get done before her so she doesnt feel rushed to leave because i am done. i sthing is that i have found many women get affended by someone old school. i dont blame them, they have probly become hard at heart because some man decided that being a daddy wasnt for him and dumped it all on her. sorry, i dont think being a parent is a option. i have three girls that i have raised since birth. diapers, cholic, and all. love has been lost to lust now a days. we dont all think that way. honest.

I'm sorry I don't get it, are you talking about a relationship or a business partnership why are so many hung up on being in charge. If you want to run an empire stay single that way you don't have to consider anything except what you want. But what do I know I always went by neither master nor slave will I be. JMO

RE: Old Fashion Values

I believe this should mean that you both attempt to completely commit to helping one another as much as possible. This can mean to some the opening a door for her or doing the chores without keeping score. It to means not controlling one another.

Yes, I do believe that old fashion values still exist.

its not always 50/50. some times its 100/0 and other times its 0/100. you do it because you love. you dont love because you do it.

well, wendy, I dont agree. I dont know one woman that wants to sit around and be lazy. The women I know are quite accomplished. I went to college part time, then full time, worked two part time jobs, took care of the household, cooking, baking, two daughters and still was able to pamper my man, as he took care of the yards, washing and waxing our vehicles, cleaning the pool, fixing what ever needed to be fixed so I think that was pretty much 50/50. I didnt need help doing simple house hold chores, nor would I want him to. How you are able to really clean a home in 15 min amazes me as it takes me 45 min just to vaccuum..you must be superwoman...LOL...

I am VERY OLD FASHIONED when it comes to a relationship .... I LOVE the old fashioned ways ... BUT! I WOULD continue to work outside the home { never did when I was married } .... I'm old fashioned with EVERYTHING ELSE in a relationship though .... when I was married my x would'nt let me work outside the home { he was a jealous guy } BUT! I assure you I was VERY busy as a HOUSEWIFE & MOTHER ..... NEVER HAD A CHANCE TO BE LAZY .......... ....... If your good at being a housewife & mother BELIEVE ME you will defenitely WORK as HARD as ANYONE WORKING OUTSIDE THE HOME and THEN SOME ...... been there done that .................. BUT I still can't help but LOVE an old fashioned guy ..... ...........
