That's really cool girl. You must be able to almost take full breaths now. I know you don't really completely relax until it is ALL over.........but moms don't ever really relax, do they? Kim

Ok here it is... ITs Wednesday and we have been on the go all day... Dont ask its just been a bad day...

Went to the ENT today.. Told me he doesnt like to put tubes in unless they are over 11 months old because of the risks and all.. Well then he did the sound test to see how much fluid was behind his ear drums and he looked at me and said Im going to send the scheduler in we need to get him in for surgery for tubes now..

So we are scheduled for tubes on June 5th and are on preventitive antibiotics til then.

Im exhausted... Its been a long rough day and hes such a trooper to deal with all we had to get done today.... Im headed to bed but I knew you all would want to know what was going on... He is doing well and gettin his appetite back..

NIght night and thanks for the prayers.

Katie

I learned a long time ago see the ENT right away

All will be good after the ENT doc does his thing

You're baby boy will be much happier and you to

My youngest had it done this fall and now a days you can go swimming and take a shower with the tubes in. So no worries there about having to protect his ears.

When my oldest son had that done-- It was protect his ears from water all the time

Glad its all changed now

I promise he'll be A-ok after tubes and they might remove adenoids too.

Having tubes done also improves speech. Most kids explode with language after too.

May he feel as good as can be until surgery. Surgery is same day - meaning he goes in in the morning and out of there like 4-5 hrs after surgery. You'll wanna make sure he has his favorite drink packed along. Once the nurses see he is drinking good that a heads up that all is good and means you might get to leave sooner

Pack his fav toy as well cause when they take him off to surgery he'll have it with him and when he awakes it'll be right there

Thankfully I know all the pre op, or and recovery nurses so He will have the best care..

If someone slips up they will have to deal with my dad which they have to work with all the time.... Poor people..

As for now Duncan Doolittle is a happy little boy...

I thank you all for the support..
I know everything is gonna be ok and that this is an easy procedure..

It threw me for a loop for him to say we need them now... So I did have a mommy moment and I cried...

We also have an appointment on June 20th to see the dermatologist about the fact that the hemangioma on his lip is getting bigger...

If she decides that it must be removed now then we are gonna have her go ahead and remove all three.

He has one on his lower lip on the right side, left cheek and one on his left forehead.
