I watched my son get married, pay off his college loans, take over my father's business, buy a new home...
then one day he phoned me and said - "Mom! Can you come over right away to see my new riding lawn mower?!"
I thought - at last! He's a man!
Then I arrived to see the chrome pipes, the white chassy with metallic fleck and the flames airbrushed on the tank...
His young, blonde wife stood with her arms folded across her chest pointing at the tell-tale raw dirt ruts in the yard where the wheels had thrown sod 20' as he "popped and rode" a wheelie from one end of the manicured lawn to the other...
God love him - he's all MINE!!!!!!!!!
