| I think you've got to go with what makes you comfortable.
If someone states in their profile that they won't accept winks and you feel their profile is intriguing enough to take the time to write a little something, do. If it's not that intriguing, don't bother sending anything.
I don't think that it is a consensus of all women that they will not accept winks, so why not send them to those who don't specifically say they won't accept them?
I sometimes think we worry too much about what we send and how or if we respond or are responded to online. If everyone was just doing what they were comfortable with, being themselves and not taking it personally when not responded to, I think this would all be a lot easier! Have fun, send what you feel is appropriate to those you're interested in and see what responses you get. Don't stop trying because of lack of responses, those just weren't the right women for you. | I don't understand why some complain about winks. It's a kind gesture. It's a form of communication. It's a form of initial contact to possibly start up a convo.
I don't mind winks.
Some people may just be shy in the beginning and feel comfortable sending a wink first. It's not a big deal.
And many simply send winks because when THEY DO TYPE EMAILS, MANY DON'T get responses back, and many times it't the ones that don't like winks. So go figure. It all boils down to if they like your pic/profile or not. But if they don't like ya pic, you are pretty much guaranteed a non reply and you will see your sent email deleted.

A wink says I didn't have time or motive to address you personally but thought I'd through something out there. So, why should I address you back personally? JMHO
