Yes,I do but I don't beleive a person has to be a member of organized religion to be a good servant to their deity.Perhaps,my version (christianity) is not the exact picture of creation. But,I do beleive that christ was who he claimed to be.I beleive many people have distorted his teachings to serve their own purposes and desires.I find the most useful part of the bible to be the accounts of Jesus Christ and I beleive that the old testament should not be taken literally.
A example of this would be that Christs own actions concerning the attempted stoning of Mary Magdalene would seem to contradict earlier dogma of old testament. If we were to take it literally a promiscuous woman should be stoned to death. It is obvious christ did not beleive this and intervened to save the young ladies life.I am not saying he approved of her lifestyle but he did not beleive it deserved death.I see no fault in the accounts given to us of the teachings of Christ and it is his teachings that I beleive in strongly.I do not hold the earlier words of old testament to be infallible.Perhaps, some of the false teachers that christ spoke of came before him and were what many considered to be holy men.I know much of what I have said will be considered heresay by many so called "true Christians" but it is only one mans opinion so don't get your panties in a bunch. For me I have personally felt divine intervention In my life and this is the reason for my strong faith in God.

Ok no, you are really a christian whether or not you choose to call yourself one. Your beliefs (if that is what you want to call them) are righteous. And much of what you say about the Old Testament is true, that is the reason that God sent us his Son, to show us the way. GOOD MAN, oh by the way not all women wear PANTIES just like all men don't have B _ _ _ _ (not to be taken literally guys) so most of us women don't get them in a bunch JUST WANTED TO CLARIFY THAT ONE

I believe in Muhammed, and Buddha, and Jesus, and Yin and Yang, and the great Integrity. but because I believe in Jesus, I am a Christian?

No, "Christian" is a LABEL. chosen by a person to express to another in short hand what their beliefs regarding creation are. It is an extremely generalized term.

the beliefs of all of these faiths are relatively the same.

Jesus message was OLD by the time he got around, what makes you take HIS version more special than any of the others, HE tells you himself they have and will continue to come, so why do you single HIM out. Buddha was born of his mothers side, according to their story, and Eve was the same from Adam. so what makes one true and the other not?

and if that isn't enough, how often do Christians say, their way is the ONLY way?? it is the same, how is it the only way?

Curiousone,I have often wondered wether God has sent several sons to do his work here.Perhaps that is the reason for so many different religions. That is one of the reasons I deeply respect the religions of others.I do not agree with all the religious teachings of my youth but it introduced me to a path of spirituality and for that I am thankful to catholicism.

well, I am definitely NOT thankful for Catholicism.

but Jesus said He sent many Prophets and they did what they wanted with them.
he said they had been sent, and he said they will be sent.

This is one BIG reason I dismiss the Christian belief that Jesus is somehow different than the other prophets. It doesn't wash to me, It is contrary to what I read in the Gospels.

curious,Muhhumad, and Budda, were prophets, and Jesus was prophetic, but he was also the Messiah the difference also was in his death completing something that the other two did not accomplish was to bring The Holy Spirit to humankind,Only the begotten Son of God could accomplish this..And there is a an actual expierence when you recieve The Holy Spirit, and there are parts of the gift that are also expierenced..As tounges, laying on of hands, healings, dicerning of Spirits,prophesy,interpretations..all that was talked about in Acts..I myself at different times in the last 25 yrs have expeirenced at different times, and in some pretty amazing circumstances..
The difference was that Muh.,and Budda,AND so many other religions is there are working with the spirit they were born with and having enlightenment with that spirit,But being born again and giving up that spirit and recieving The Holy Spirit is a whole nother ball park, whole nother realm of Spirit,Its The one Jesus(ONLY)talks about and The one that makes the bible different than any other books
