| hey all. I have posted a couple threads before this one. i was in an awkward situation with trying to figure out how to move on.
this weekend i have a date coming up. i had started talking to this nice guy named dan on another website yesterday. we went back and forth for several hours. then today we were going back and forth online for a couple hours and i actually spoke with him on the phone. we plan on going out this saturday.
we both are a little strapped for cash so i need some good date ideas. something that wont break wallets or anything like that, something to where we get to know each other. movies are kind of overrated for me, because if ur on a date tryin to get to know someone i dont think you should sit there in silence with your eyes glued to a screen. so any ideas would help!!

| well movie date for the first time meeting in my opinion isnt a good idea because, well, just reread my post. it says why. i wanna do something that we can get to know each other. im hoping that it will turn out to be something good for a change!!

| see, we actually talked about getting some ice cream and going down to the lake to talk and hang out. but i also wanna do something else. maybe go play pool or something.  im still fishing for some ideas though!! keep them coming

| geo your just mad because you never get to go anywhere! go to the places with out door music you to could enjoy everything ,music drinks ( bring your own in your purse in needed) and not spend a dime but on gas. you will know each other better in the end anyhow.

| drinks were talked about but then i realized i dont want him so drunk that he cant drive. lol
picnic was talked about, so was bowling. he says it doesnt matter but i dont wanna be the one makin the final decision since he is insisting on paying.
im the type of female you dont have to spend a ton of money on me when we go out. im cool with gettin food off the dollar menu and turning it into a picnic on the lake! lol. im quite easy to please.
idk bout the whole fishing thing...in the end you might smell kinda funny. around here you need a fishing permit to go anyways. and its always better to go fishing on a boat, which neither of us has so yeah. lol no dates that have the potential of makin you smell like a foot! lol.
but keep em coming! thanks for the suggestions so far. im lookin for a real romantic and inexpensive date!!

| hey.. how about a zoo? .. or a museum.. or an aquarium. they are kinda touristy.. so you feel like it's special i think. Plus you can have fun, see interesting things.. and still talk to each other.

| If this is your first meeting then you should meet in a public place. Movies are not good for first meets,can't talk. How about you find a nice park with a good view, pack a snack.Bring a blanket and some tunes.Just talk.Doesn't cost much and you both can bring some food. Don't drink,untill you know each other better 'cause you never know how it will affect the persons behavior.

| just adding to 'stylistic's suggestion - you could always bring a frisbee, backgammon board, cards, softball, etc. with you to add to the enjoyment of getting to know each other.

| nevermind on the date suggestions. the guy decided to be an ass so he released all his frustrations on me and now dont wanna talk to me so its whatever. so im goin to see if have any other offers! lol
