| Seeking to quell the growing furor over his former pastor's statements, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama says he is "outraged" over the Rev. Jeremiah Wright's assertions that criticism of his fiery sermons is an attack on the black church and that the U.S. created the AIDS virus.
Is Obama to late in severing ties with Rev. Wright? Has Rev. Wright hurt Obamas chance of getting to the White House? Julia

| It reminded me of a past president as he looked me in the eye and said,"I did not have sex with that woman." I have knowen about Rev. Wright for a coulpel of years now and was never around him ever just the new's. Oboma was in his church for 20 years & never knew anything? This is very laughable!!! Oboma is toast.

| It is unfair to attack obama on his pastor. The thing which voters should analyse are tax, health care, appointment of judges, economy, war on terror.Wright wont appear on ballot. I strongly believe Mccain will make a wonderful president because of issues not on attacking obamas pastor. I think neither of these two democrats is ready to be comander in chief. we are lucky we have Mccain who will win huge

| Is anyone else wondering, now, if Obama is into the POLITICAL thing now? Or...did he just take some time to work out his answers to what's been going on? OR, did his "Advisors" tell him that he better get some acceptable answers out there before he goes down the drain?
I'm not a Democrat, but, I thought the man had "potential" down the road....it seemed that he had good credentials, but, neither "guilt" NOR "naivete" are good qualities for someone who is running our country.....

| I believe that the media is giveing too much of there time on Rev. Wright. What is important, is letting the public know what each of the canidates stand for so that we can make the right decision in November. I am in noway for Obama however, he is not resonsible for actions of Rev. Wright or anyone else other than himself. Julia

| It was just last year that Obama was telling the Chicago Tribune that Wright was his sounding board for truth: "What I value most about Pastor Wright is not his day-to-day political advice. He's much more of a sounding board for me to make sure that I am speaking as truthfully about what I believe as possible and that I'm not losing myself in some of the hype and hoopla and stress that's involved in national politics."[REV. JEREMIAH A. WRIGHT, JR.: Pastor inspires Obama's 'audacity', By Manya A. Brachear, January 21, 2007]
It was just this March, in his Philadelphia racial reconciliation speech, that Obama was urging us not to dismiss Wright as a "crank or a demagogue" and protesting that he could "no more disown him than I can disown the black community."
Now, realizing how gravely his self-serving association with Wright has wounded his campaign, Obama himself has attempted to do both those things—and expects the American public to believe him when he weakly and belatedly asserts that "when I say I find [Wright's] statements appalling, I mean it."
As those of us with non-European brains might put it: You be trippin', Barry.

| It is most difficult to believe, that after a rather close relationship with Mr . Wright,..Senator Obama didn't have a single clue as to his very outspoken nature, and radical philosophy. I believe that Obama just didn't think that Mr. Wright would actually take things, publicly,...quite this far! We all don't take every single word our pastor may say every Sunday,...as fact. On the other hand,...it's not difficult to see a pattern develop,..and 20 years IS a long time. I mean, if I heard things every Sunday, I found to be completely contradictory to my own beliefs,...why would I NOT change churches? It isn't difficult, is it?

Yes Pink! Now we hear from the Obama-lama-ding-dong apologist club. He's 'moved on'. He's 'not responsible for the statements made by someone else'. He's 'answered these question already'. I say 'Yeah Right!'! This man told us all only a month ago that he could not rid himslef of his Pastor, his mentor, his inspiration any more than he could rid himself of the black community. Obama threw his own white Grandmother under the bus to protect this creep. Then Obama said he never heard any of these racist, bigoted and anti-American statements for the 20+ years he was in this church. Then he said that he may have heard some, but that he didn't agree and don't we all have disagreements with our Pastors? Now B. Hussein has thrown this nutjob under the bus in an attempt to save his pathetic run for an office that he has neither the intelligence nor the character to hold. See ya, Obama!

| Wright matter proves that Obama is muslim.Wright speaks very honestly that he doesnt repudiate what he has said previously. He repeated the same thing, he believes U>S is mean country, terror country,... then Obama said he ddnt hear it before. Its conspiracy theory. Obama pretends to be member of the church to get votes but reality he is not christian.Thats why in 20 years of Wright preachings he didnt hear. those who knows wright say wright always speak those things. It's a cover up.This time Obama has been revealed to be a liar.

| Well when it comes to lieing Oboma & Hillary both have a tight race on that too. They are both grand masters at it. Can't say I know of a single lie from Ron Paul. Substance or not it's your choice.

| Unluckily Hillary has failed to use this opportunity of Wright to win the nomination,I do not think there is any way she can win nomination unless the party is divided. The best chance for Mccain to tak over
