Yes there are still places where strip malls, freeways, and progress has not hit hard in Idaho. All you have to do is go to the top of a mountain and look down. I have seen lakes crystal clear that look like they are only a few inches deep and don't walk out they are really feet deep. Meadows with elk and deer feeding. It's all still there all you have to do is LOOK!

Hi witch01,
Yep, Idaho is one of the nicest and most scenic of the many states I've had the pleasure of living in.
Have you ever been to the Gold Fork hot springs near Donnelley? They are 6 miles east of highway 95 and 3 miles south of town. It's really nice there as they are right in the pines and the management keep them clean and neat at all times.
If you would like to see a couple of pix I have two on my website that were taken several years ago but they haven't changed at all since then. My web site address is http://www.kenit.org ... Just follow the link.
Maybe some of the others will post some favorite places too. Could be interesting and informative.
Ken

There is a little place in Northern Idaho on snow creek outside of Bonnerferry. It has one of the most pretty little lakes you ever wanted to fish in. Only problem you have to walk in about 3 to 5 miles in July the mountain still has snow on it. And it is cold at that time of year too.

Your all right! I have lived here for 50 years and now that I sold place I am going to take time between work and sleep and check a little more out. Find that perfect little place away from every thing and just sit back in my rocking chair watch the sun come up in the morning and set at night.
