I am not a tree hugger or an eco-freak, but I do know that there are people out there that will do anything to make money, regardless of who it hurts.

qirki: Some years back some local "tree huggers" got a briliant idea on how to save trees. The went to where logging was being done and started driving railroad spikes into the trees. If a chain saw hits one of those the chain breaks and the logger running it can be severly injured. This happened to several loggers and the feds were called in on it. The tree spikers were never caught, but they did put the kibosh on spiking the trees. I'm all in favor of saving trees, but I won't stand in the way of progress.

qirki: I read those articles and it appears to me that the old cell phone is the chief cause of the bat and bird deaths. The signals produced by the cell phone interfere with the navigation systems of the birds. Same for the bats. I'm not a rocket scientist, but I do know about radio and telephone signals. With the billions of cell phones being used it's my guess that the signals from them are causing these problems?? That's just my very non scientific guess.
