you had floating floors? so is the underlayment still good or do the floors need floated again to make level for the tile? concrete slab home or wood?

concrete slab and I have to scrap off/pull up all the 40 year old linoleum, which will come up fairly easy.

i would suggest checking the slab for levelness after removing the linoleum. It may need floated to make level which will prevent air pockets beneath the tile. Also invest in underlayment so that as the slab develops cracks, it won't crack the tile.

THOSE floors are easy to install just follow the directions and start off [level and straight and you will be fine ---LUCAS
