| So I just had a good friend come back from deployment...(USN...Persian Gulf)...Took him out to dinner and called up a bunch of our running buddies. We all met up and knocked back a few drinks. After reminiscing we came back to my place and a bunch of good friends (Who fight) Broke out the fencing gear and did some Olympic scoring fencing..(but not on a piste)...fights were to six points with shots being done per point. We wore proper fencing helmets with padded armor so we ain't total retards.
Then we had a few old school submission grappling matches..(Just make the other fellow give up without hurting them)...eaisier to do with a bunch of fellows who know how to fight.
It was friggin awesome!!!!! I so enjoyed the comeraderie and the adreniline. Got to break a couple of newbies into submission fighting and fencing....It was truly a great night amongst friends....both old and cherished (who I have fought before)...and teaching the young guys...fair play and respect for the people who can hurt you but, choose not to.
Every last one of us enjoyed themselves. Some things money can't buy.
not sure where I was going with this....
Perhaps it is this....does any one else enjoy testing thier skills and confidence among thier good friends? Win or lose is irrelevant.... did you learn something from a win or a loss. I, personally learn more from losses...not to say I don't learn from making some one submit. I suppose I am expecting more answers from the fellows on this one.

| Best friends I ever had I met in my 8 years in the military...brothers...their door was always open as was mine...I miss that...most of my friends now would stab me in a minute if times got tough...jmo

| Get better friends!......when every one has a sword....no one is a d*ck! Everyone seems to get along great when there are half a dozen guys around to make sure you fight nice.

| Actually ...no.....
With us, if you are stupid enough to get into a fight....we step back and see if you win or lose. But,...before a fight breaks out for real...we avoid it. It is an actual rule among us....no one fights while they are angry.
Save the posse thing for punk kids who gotta have back up. The fellows standing around our fights make sure shit is fair. It was such a nice luxury to get to fight again. Gonna be sore as hell tommorrrow....should have stretched more! I am still shaking from the adreniline charge. But, I guarantee I will sleep hard tonight!
Sorry K.....I was raised in my Father's Kyokushinkia karate' school...What hollywood says about fighting and how fighting is amongst friends....are different beasts. If done properly.....it is a fun time and everyone still can work tommorrow.

Here is my daughter kicking some serious Serious ass...
I have ton's of picture but this is my favorite one because he had been giving her such a hard time about strinking below the waist(tall like you) and of course they smarted off back and forth and worked the crowd, everyone was laughing...he says stay above the waist woman what are you doing and she says well stop hitting me you silly boy with a big stick...priceless ...we all were laughing so hard...anyway proud momma...my baby kicked his but and it kinda took him by surprise
