Chemical and physical properties, of water
Dihydrogen monoxide is also known as the water - stated by Wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dihydrogen_monoxide
The dihydrogen monoxide hoax involves listing negative effects of water under an unfamiliar scientific name, then asking individuals to help control the seemingly dangerous substance (caused by most people knowing the word "monoxide" as part of the name of the poisonous gas "carbon monoxide"). The hoax is designed to illustrate how the lack of scientific knowledge and an exaggerated analysis can lead to misplaced fears. Dihydrogen monoxide, shortened to DHMO, is a scientific name for water that, while technically correct, is almost never employed.

With this in mind
Lets look at the bad side of Dihydrogen Monoxide (the water molecule)

Dihydrogen Monoxide Warning

Dihydrogen monoxide:
* is also known as hydroxl acid, and is the major component of acid
rain
* contributes to the "greenhouse effect."
* may cause severe burns.
* contributes to the erosion of our natural landscape.
* accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals.
* may cause electrical failures and decreased effectiveness of
automobile brakes.
* has been found in excised tumors of terminal cancer patients.
Frequently Asked Questions About Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO)
http://www.dhmo.org/facts.html
Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO) is a colorless and odorless chemical compound, also referred to by some as Dihydrogen Oxide, Hydrogen Hydroxide, Hydronium Hydroxide, or simply Hydric acid. Its basis is the highly reactive hydroxyl radical, a species shown to mutate DNA, denature proteins, disrupt cell membranes, and chemically alter critical neurotransmitters. The atomic components of DHMO are found in a number of caustic, explosive and poisonous compounds such as Sulfuric Acid, Nitroglycerine and Ethyl Alcohol.
Just something to keep in mind. Again, water is a necessary solvent for all known life!
--REEDIT--
Is something wrong here ?

| OMG,
DI = 2
Mono =1
put them together and you have 2 hydrogen molecules, and One Oxygen molecule.
I agree it is sad that people could get sucked in and taken advantage of. and I agree that this is the fault of the education system, which is not prepared or capable of teaching us how to Interpret basic scientific language. It is pathetic.
You are so right, and we should all be making them spend our money on education rather than prostitutes, and killing foreigners.

| Don't you think it makes sense that we are made of water, because we evolved from water?

| Funny comment above me there deserted. But how would you know, did you mother tell you? Just kidding. You know me.
I'm glad you like to explain your genius idea to us non-einstein people. Thanks for that!
You are brilliant and I know you will invest something someday that will make the world a better place and then you won't have to worry about donations. LOL

| all things that have lived are carbon based,
and every living thing needs water to grow.
The proof that we evolved from water, is that we evolve in water still.
we are formed, created, and therefore evolve, from cells to a baby, IN water, the carbon based life, NEEDS water to form.it is made up in part of water. I think you will find the carbon is there, after the water is sucked out of whatever form it takes., but the water was there.
and water is H2O 2 hydrogen and One oxygen- dihydro-monooxide= means 2 hydrogen molecules attracted One oxygen miolecule and it IS water.
It is LIke saying h20 and water are different things, they are not, just different ways of identifying , or labelling them.
The Importance here is the Intention of the person saying it. are they trying to lie, deceive, or are they ignorant? have they been fooled themselves and believe this? or are they doing it on purpose? are they gaining anything from saying it? why are they saying it?
Good way to examine HOW people use laguage, and HOW you need to question everything, logicvally, slow down, and think about what you are reading.
It is like the people that get the fake Lottery tickets, If they slowed down, and looked at what theyw ere doing, instead of impatiently projecting themselves into the future< They wouldn't look Like Morons, in front of their families, and on Americas Funniest Home Videos.

| womens suffrage ended when we GOT the vote.
and deserted, water is taxed, and it is taxed big time, you pay taxes on water you use, water you drink, water you buy at the store in botteles, you are taxed on water on your water bill, and on it's quality control, YOU are even taxed on it's NON use, in the form of water conservation. You are texed big time for it's storage, and for it to be cleaned.
I am sure there are more

| Being a hydro-chemical containment engineer....(I am the operations manager for a bottled water facility)....I got all sorts of bullshit words to talk about water in ways that very few people would understand. Pretty amazing and quite boring to have to study for a bottled vended water operations liscence. When you toss out words like "excess Borium content leads to Blue Baby syndrome"...people freak!...Even though water treatment techniques eliminated that effect in the mid 50's.
