| My gf of a year and 4 months has decided that me and her will never meet in person since she lives in England and thinks that our relationship is hopeless. How can I help her see that she shouldn't give up so easily on us and have hope? Anyone have some words of wisdom?

| I just want to know what took her so long to end it. I don't understand how you can call someone your girlfriend when you have never met them. JMO but she probably got board of emailing and phone calls.

| I agree that you have to meet in person for it to be "real". Online/long distance is just not the intimacy that most people need. There is so much that can be contrived...it takes being around someone in their physical presence for a good long time before you can really trust that your relationship can be counted on.
Just my thoughts.
I'm sorry you are hurting though. That must be very difficult and painful.
If you truly love her though, you need to understand how difficult/impossible it is for her that you are not physically together.
You can (well, at least until the oil prices all of a sudden went NUTS) get really great deals on flights sometimes...just a thought...
