| Relationships seem so much harder to have when we get older and have kids of our own..Call me old fashioned but it seems like people just want to rush everything these days and not take the time to get to know eachother...Is it just me Or do other people see this also.

| Sweetthing, I have noticed it just since Ive been on the dating sites. The men that have wanted to date me want to take it to a much higher level right off the starting line. It doesn't make any sense to me. why not take the time to slowly learn about each other. Take it one day at a time. What's the hurry? Is it because the men/women want to take you off the market until they decide if you are worthy of staying in a relationship with? Who knows...

| Lady I agree with you... And why not let it progress at it's own rate? If it progresses easily it was meant to be. If not, well that was meant to be. Is there really a destination also? Or is it the journey shared that is to be experienced and cherished?

| Ive noticed on here theres people moving in with each other after 2 weeks of talking on here and thats just nuts. Men tell me i love you after a few hours. I dont know i get scared of these sites. Im more on here for the friends ive met.

| I think it is a sign of insecurity that some people are so anxious to be in a relationship that they jump all the way in as soon as something looks promising. Some people view internet dating as a 'last resort' and feel desperate. This tends to push them towards committing too soon.
Lang before internet dating, I dated a few women who were prone to premature ejaculations such as "I love you" on the first date. There was also one where the fist date felt like an interview to determine if I was husband material.
On the other hand, my sister and her husband moved in only a few weeks after meeting and that was over 20 years ago now. So sometimes it does work.
This is a great place to meet people, but I'm a lot more interested in going slow.

| Valid points made by everyone...So many of the womens profiles I have read (and please I am by no means picking on women) say that they are looking for someone to "sweep" them off their feet or take their breath away ????? What's up with that? Sweetthing you are by no means "Old Fashion" because if you are I'm right along side of you. Now there maybe rare exceptions, but I don't believe love at first sight exists. You need to take things slow get to know each other, discover what things you have in common, likes and dislikes and if your personalities are compatible. All that takes time and is part of a necessary process to the development of a relationship.
