Good Morning Ladies and Gents on the DH!,
Hope you all are doing well. I have heard it said that Men tend to fall in love with their eyes, and women with their ears. Making us men seem a bit shallow. Yet when you first meet a women who shows you interest, she wants to know what is it you "do" and how much you make. Granted, finding a good provider is a key for a good future, but right off the bat, kinda shallow also. Guys and girls, what do you look for when you first meet someone new that you might like?

I'm not trying to brag by any means, but the "Shadow Man" actually "talked" a brave kind and brave soul into meeting him for the first time. (oohhh, spooky, I'm so nervous!) Thankfully she seems fearless and confident and I hope it'll rub off on me. But just in case I scare another one away when she takes a gander at this guy, big props and admiration to the courageous lady in advance. See guys, keep on knocking, and it will open, keep on seeking, and you will find...Shutting up now before I "bachi" myself.

Let me know what you guys think, and let's have some fun.

Hey DK,

Congrats on your "meet up!" Hope it goes well for you - and her!

As to your question about women wanting to know what you "do" - some women do want to know if you make enough. That's just how they are in the same sense that some men only want to date a woman who LOOKS a certain way!

Then there are some of us that ask because it tells us more about you and your personality - after all we all spend alot of our waking hours working! It let's us know what your day to day life experience is. So - don't be too quick to prejudge when a woman asks, "What do you do?" Besides - you never know when it will work in your favor! (giggle)

I've found that usually men don't care what a woman does or how she spends her time - as long as it's not with other guys! It's sad. I once shared with a man a presentation I'd done that was available online for work - so he could know a little more about me. He never bothered to look at it before we went out. What does that say? It kinda hurt my feelings. Now I even hesitate to share with someone what I do. Which is sad, because it is a part of me, I love it, and I'm passionate about it - so it would be cool to share. Oh well... boys will be boys - ooops! Sorry guys.... men will be men!

Aloha!
Goldie

I agree with gold What a man does tells me about him. Is he creative.. works with his hands.. or is he better with his mind... I am creative and love to work on projects together. As to wanting to know how much he makes I never ask. That will come up as I get to know him better and if things go that path. I have alot on my profile and I have responded to many threads... I tell men to check that out if they want to get to know me better befor meeting... Hmmmm never hear back gues they just like the picture...

I guess I'm kinda weird then because I try to see the person behind their picture.(And by the way,you have a good one M-babe.) What they are like on the inside, what they value, how they interact with the world around them is what captures my attention. They can have a major hotness in the visual department, but without a kind and caring heart, its a waste of time.
It is funny that on my previous post I was all stoked on meeting someone and tried not to "batchi" it? I did, and spooked another. This DH stuff just might be harder then spearfishing in storm surf.
Oh well, we got some of the ladies views, what do you local guys think?
