I wonder to myself from time to time when I see a woman's profile and she is well to do,and I'm interested (but not in her money)if I should even contact her because I know in the end one of us would have to adjust our lifestyles if it even got that far

I guess it depends on their views of money.

Money may make the world go round, but you cannot buy happiness. Love brings happiness, no bounds!!

Consider this thought:

Should a woman pay all the bills including electric, cable, groceries, water, etc.. because the man has to pay off past debts and says he can't help except once in awhile.??

To answer the OP's question, I think it gets to a point someone is taking advantage of the other person sooner or later.

Money should never be a factor in weather a relationship works or not.Happiness is or is not.

Perhaps think about it this way. There are many posts from men and women who feel they have been taken for a ride, used, lost things because of past relationships and divorces.

Is one person suppose to support the other because they can't help pay bills.?

For a relationship to work, it has to work for both people, far beyond $$$$.
If two people are sooooo far apart in background, hobbies, interests in life,
it may not work. $$$$ are not the only consideration.
How about lifestyle?
How about vacation time or recreational time? Free to travel at will?
Is each employed?
Children to be considered?

Do you think about things the same way? (politics are not a big issue to many)
How about the economy, and environmentally?
Do you each manage your money, or does debt and
bankruptcy affect one person?
Who has medical insurance? This is a major consideration these days.

Money does not buy happiness,
however happiness does not buy money either...
you need a good balance of both.

Been there...on each side..
myself lessor financial position,
and myself a greater financial position.
(we are talking measurable here, each time)

Each worked beautifully for me...I learned a great deal
from each person. Loved them both for what they brought to the relationship.

Love is not blind...
it is in tune with the heartbeat and pulse (zest for living) of each person.

maniacmassager- perhaps you're looking for someone to pay your bills by the answer you just gave. Seems kinda typical of some men's attitude.

Of course it can work , as long as the men in question shows he is not a lazzy guy and make her feel used.

I can appreciate Wines point of view. Very well said. But still is 1 person suppose to pay all the bills without help from their loved partner, or other name you want to call someone living with you.

Frederick and Lisa ,good friends of mine for the last ten years ,are from the opposite side of the fence . He ,Frederick has his own Castle and she ,Lisa is a language instructor .
Lisa has the beauty of charm ,grace and compassion Frederick needed to have a fulfilling life and has asked Lisa to be his wife .
The smile on Fredericks face proves a dignified ,caring, respectful poor girl can steal the heart of a rich man .
