I had a long distance relationship for 3 years and it ended up not working out because of the distance. We still talk and are pretty much best friends, but we just know its not meant to be. Is it okay to keep pics of us together? The only reason i ask is cause a girl i was recently talking to saw the pics on [blocked site] and stopped talking to me because she thought that i was still dating my ex even though she's like 5000 miles away. The pics aren't anything bad. no kissing, no nudity, etc. Is this a bad move keeping the pics up? or should i just find someone who is mature enough to handle me being friends with my ex? what does everyone think?

On a dating site ... the pics should be just of you. I don't date couples and if someone puts a pic up of their X then to me they haven't gotten over the other person in the picture.

If a person has children then the pic should NOT include their children. A few reasons on that. One is because there are too many pervs who have access to the internet who can gain access to children. Second is that I would be dating the person in the photo not their children. The children can be introduced later when chemistry is determined but not before. The children should be noted in the profile so that people who are interested in you will know that if they are to date you and things go right then the children are part of the package as well.

And no woman would enjoy seeing a picture of the man she is with in a picture on display with another woman. So I think it is okay to have and keep the pictures, but I think it is in bad taste to have a picture of you and your ex on display to be seen by your dates.Put them away into a shoebox or drawer.

the pics were on a separate site used to keep in contact with friends, not to meet women. I'm also going to keep the pics up no matter what people think. i was just wondering what everyone thought about it.

So why ask then??? If a person ask then they are open to change. If someone doesn't want to change then why ask???

I agree with Chopper...
if it is on the web, on any current site, you might present the picture
you are not OVER the previous person. Are you emotionally available...
or NOT???

How about your previous person, does she mind that you
display her picture after your break up? Might think about this...

Your life and your web page...
in good taste, presenting just yourself on a dating site is most likely
the best route to paradise for the future.

Take what you need and can use, leave the rest...
Be Well,
