People are pickier online than actually in person.

I read that somewhere in response to a post and was curious if it were true...I figured people online would be less judging

hard to say but i think that people have a tendency to be a bit more honest or upfront online. Not only that but our pictures are sometimes deceptive so if people are being picky based on our photos alone then they should be a bit more open minded. I have been told that i look quite a bit better in person then on photo.

TheDaughter, long ago, told me this would never work.....cuz I'm too picky.

Ironically, I know I've no right to be.

I would venture that it has some truth to it. It is far easier to judge someone from a third-party stance that the online dating eludes to. When face to face(offline), physical and emotional responses can overcome other senses. This can make what you thought you wanted, a vague conception now hiding in the back of the mind covered with a black veil.

it all depends on how drunk I am...I've been known to get drunk enough in person to take home a hefty...but that ain't happening online...

*************
I would imagine , judging by your mysoginistic posts and your lack of a photo, its been a VERY long time since you took home anything other than a bagfull of dogfood.

no I am always selective....here in town, there are men in which have waited....but its not going to happen, handsome and successful I might add but chemistry ionvolves many degrees and for me...I know what bliss is,I know whats its like to be in love with the one who just does it for you....I know what its like to be with someone and gel so well and have such cool respect that there are no arguments and bad behavior...now the trick has been how to package all the good stuff into one...is it possible...seems like i am seeing more and more really good qualities.

I think online perhaps caution and clarification is used with greater respect. we lack tone of voice to know how something is meant. we need caution...not just regarding safetyissues but to sort thru the BS...who is one th level in all that they say and who is feeding their ego...I see many comments and threads that often make it look like someone got played again...so realistically speaking...the same concerns are the guy you meet in your own community...even nice guys or women can have motives that are not productive and/or deceiving...its everywhere...just have to be selcetive and stick to what you know will bring you TRUE fulfillment...the happiness factor should already be insdie of you or you got no business dating...so find it within yourself.

I think people are just about as opinionated and picky online and offline.

Although a study had shown people are much more likely to be honest online because they use the Internet as a security blanket. This also applies to cell phone texting and emails.

Being too picky just might mean you miss out on meeting your real soulmate
