| When i first decided to try online dating i was apprehensive. It seemed an unorthodox way of meeting people, i mean being in the "cyber world" and all. Then i discovered that it actually works very well. You can email, text, and chat on the phone to get to know the person of interest before you ever meet! Thats a nice feature and really it a good way to weed out the ones you dont feel are compatible with you.

| If not for online dating, I would never get to meet anyone. I have a child with no options for a babysitter. Granted, he lives half the week with his dad, but my nights alone are ususally during the week. Not great nights for going out, particularly when your friends are pretty much all married with kids. Or single with their own kids.

| In my opinion, online dating gives you the option to search for the most important criteria to you. For example, non-smoker, no kids, wants kids, ethnicity etc......
In real life, typically I meet someone and find all this out later. I think online, the process is faster and less personal until you are ready to make it personal.

| Online dating works for me since I don't have alot of time, nor do I know where to look for a date!! I work 2 jobs so it's nice to come home and see what's happening on the dating scene right from my living room! It's a great place to look and there is no pressure to be perfect
