I have always believed that there is someone for everyone out there and that is there soulmate but as I get older and more cynical, I wonder. I had a good friend that believed there was no such thing; she believed that when someone was ready to settle down or become committed (not in an institutuion, LOL) the person they were dating at the time would be "the one". Just timing. What do you think? As for me, I hope to not get lost too far in cynicism. I still would like to have that fantasy soulmate.

Good Question
I'm wondering if a person can have a 2nd soulmate after the first one passes away

Love works in strange ways sometimes ,It seems there is always a barrier or two in this pursuit for happiness

Luckily true love overcomes all

Soulmates exist! Sometimes it takes quite a few tries to find that person who is the right fit for you. But eventually, is a little luck, you meet. You just have to believe that they are out there searching for you as well!

For every person out there, thousands of soulmates exist, not just one. no matter how good of a partner you think youve found, theres always someone better out there.

"Soulmates, perfect mates, ideal partners " all exist providing that you open your heart to receive them. Define first your ideal mate & tailor your profile to attract such ones, keep an open mind, be positive & optimistic. Then when you date & realize that this is the wrong person, adjust your thinking & keep trying, sooner or later someone will meet your ideal definition & you theirs and you can tell us that you're both otta here.

Whatever your world, you create it, whether your world is filled with cynicism or not, you have the choice. For there are two ways to look at life and the world. We can see the good or the bad, the beautiful or the ugly. Both are there, and what we focus on and choose to see is what brings us feelings of joy or feelings of dispair." Above all, if you don't like something change it; if you can't change it, change the way you think about it.

I like what "maniacmassager" says, however if you're always looking for someone better, it will always be only a dream and an imaginary concept. In the meantime, have fun, make friends, enjoy living in the moment. Would you be attracted to someone if she were a cactus or a rose? Both have thorns, and if she were to put away her cynicism & made her reality a place of pure beauty & positiveness, would you still seek her? Ideal soulmates are sometimes more than meets the eye... See too, their inner beauty...

"hugsnlaughter" it sounds like you're describing a situation, if you can't be with the one you love, then love the one you're with... Hmmm it doesn't have to be that way you know. A good man is "HaRd" (excuse the pun) to find... Sometimes you meet someone & all they want is just to be friends, or activity partners, or they're here for the forums... others are players, or into head games, & the ones from Ghana (Africa) appear to be scammers...

Thanks Dan for the Happy Mother's Day!

I too believe there is a soulmate for us all (and probably more than one that would fit each of us) but the trick is to be open enough and not have a million preconceived notions so we don't get in the way of us finding them.
Chances are, our soulmate will come packaged in something other than a Johnny Depp (my favorite) or a Julia Roberts.

i thought i had found my soul mate , 17 years and a son , and you think you know someone then found out she had been cheating for 2 years . I mean come on i worked ,provided for her she never had to work. I did every thing that she asked and even some she didn't ask i thought i was a good husband and doing what a good husband was suppose to do. Know i don't know if i will ever find my real "soul Mate" , I guess only time will tell... On a side note i have been on datehookup for several months and talked via email with some nice women but as soon as it comes time to meet face to face they chicken out , i mean isn't this what this site is for ????? How many of these women are fake and just want to see how many guys they can attract.... Oh well I guess i will walk the rest of my days alone on this world.......Rikki Lane
