| so i was looking through "kids beds" online. because i am thinking it is not too far out before the kiddos need new beds (expecially if i decide to buy a new house) so i was looking at different designs and stuff jus killing time pretty much.....
there was the cutest bed for a little girl, it was a cindarella type "coach" bed. SO FREAKIN CUTE!
you would not believe the price on this bed! they wanted almost $6,000.00 for this bed! could you picture paying that much for a bed for a child that will get tired of it and want a new one within just a couple of years?

| Thank god Im handy... I can make anything if I put my mind to it.. You have to remember dont go too fancy they outgrow stuff too fast
Besides with a bit of plywood you could do that to fit over a regular frame and then when shes needs a big girl bed just take it off/

| The best things in life are the ones you put your own blood , sweat and tears into. $6000 for a freakin bed? no freakin way..that pic looks easy enough to copy.
I built a coffee table for shits n giggles a couple years ago, built it from scratch, no plans except my own. Was the first time I ever built something that didnt come from a kit. And I only needed outside help for one little minor detail-my friend had to show me how to use the doohickie that ya put in to screw in the legs to. OK ..the legs were prefab..and the center pieces were prefab..painted ceramic tiles..but the rest was all my doing. I drew a plan..figured out how long and wide and high the thing should be..then went to Home Depot..my new favorite store.
The table probly cost me $200 to make..cost of tools and wood..and more wood cuz I screwed up the first frame..lol..but now I have cool tools to use on new projects. I'm gonna need a little help from Dad the engineer though..the legs are a little wobbly..sigh..
