| done what they were put there to do? Didn't Americans vote for change?
What have they done since the midterm election? Have they even tried to help Americans?
And why is it that gas prices were somewhat stable until they got in office?

| It's business as usual. They are more worried about making themselves look good, than doing good.

| Any substantive change requires a 2/3 majority in the Senate and the Dems do NOT have a 2/3 majority. BTW, a 2/3 majority is veto-proof. The House bows more to the will of the people, but their initiatives must be addressed by the Senate, and it is there they hit a wall.
The Republicans can continue to carry the water for this failed president and his failing party and continue to make their base happy. Only they are not advancing the same agenda any longer. Its all smoke and mirrors.
This is the interlude of the lame duck session. Nothing of substance will be done until a new Congress and a new President are elected. January 2009: the games begin!
You need to understand how laws are made to understand the process and how the game is played.
Peace, Pam

| Democrat/Rebublican/indepenant...doesn't matter....Until we can out bid the lobbyists...They WILL do what the money asks them to.
Lets face facts....If a lobbyist was taking me on vacation to the bahamas to explain thier view as opposed to a regular person on a random site expressing discontent and offering nothing more than relatively small tax dollars....If I was a politician...I would be an idiot not to side with the lobbyists.

| No one listens to the peaple, not even when running for election, just to their handlers for giveing us lip service. They only listen to the lobbyest who are payed for by secial interest with lots of money & perks. Look at McCain he heard us on the amnisty bill now he has forgoten again. They are all the same and both parties. No standards but greed, me,me,me. What a suprise as they are mostly comeing now out of the "me" genoration.

| Cause Dubya caused them to blink first and they lack the resolution to take a stand. Kinda like Kerry not tearing Bush's ass up over swift boats. Where were Bush, Rummy, Cheney when Kerry was serving in Nam? The Demos believe their own bad press!
