| Penicillin or some form of anti biotic. The pain is caused by the pressure of the infection on the nerve.
You really need to go see that dentist.
Most importantly, make sure you are not allergic to the anti biotic you take.

| Ice packs work for me. It numbs the pain at least temporarily. On for 20 minutes, off for 20 minutes. But realize it is only temporary.

| I just had 3 abscesses under 1 tooth last week... Oh, honey, I KNOW the pain!!
I use this stuff called "Kanka", which is Benzocaine for cold sores. It works better & lasts longer than Ora-Gel. There's a triple-Caine gel, also which acts like a numbing shot from the dentist himself, but you need a prescription for it. But boy, it works! Then, lay down with a hot pack on the affected area for 15 minutes on, 15 minutes off.
Hot or cold, or even switching back and forth... which ever one feels better to you.
And antibiotics are a MUST!! If you can't see a dentist right away, see your doctor for atleast a prescription for that and maybe some narcotics until you can be seen by a dentist. (
I'm a nurse, with chronic tooth infections (secondary to other health problems)... so I speak from recent & on-going experience!
Hope you feel better soon!

| Definitely get yourself to a dentist. Also, for now, take a couple of extra strength tylenol or some aspirin.
Don't wait. Find yourself a dentist before you end up needing root canal.

| Take this pipe wrench and hit yourself right behind the left ear.
When you wake up, go to the dentist, and the ER.

| warm water rinse ( deactivates the nerve)
and whole clove situated between the troublesome tooth and gum.
this is a temporary fix only..clove numbs.
Please remember the pain from your tooth has a very short path
to your brain. If infection is present it can spread to your
throat and ears.
See a dentist.

| have a miniature yard sale, sale something good. now you have money. go to dentist.
every large town has a hot line for women abuse. call them. they know every good phone number in the book. they will know which dentist is cheapest.
Many are on Walmart's $4 list. Don't take your health for granted. another person said in front of me. which is dead on correct. most likely will have to take amoxicillin
if you want to save the tooth and alot of pain, you must get on this or a different antibiotic as soon as possible.
