| You should really see the dentist. Many of them offer payment plans to pay for treatment.
But for now try salt water. Dissolve enough salt in warm water (body temperature) to make a strong solution and rinse your mouth repeatedly, vigourously swishing the salty water around your mouth (if the pain allows) or just allowing the brine to work in your mouth (it will make you salivate). The pain, especially when extremely severe, may instantly subside or perhaps take a while before it goes away, but it will.
Ginger root available at grocery stores reportedly works very effectively and can provide instant toothache relief. Cut off a piece of the ginger root, remove the skin and apply the ginger piece directly to the painful tooth. Bite down on it if at all possible and chew it slowly to swill its juice around the aching tooth. Keep the rest of the ginger root in a container in your refrigerator. Use as needed in case you may have to renew the ginger treatment.

| Babygirl, if that tooth is that bad, there is nothing you can do but get to the dentist, it's most likely infected you will need a week of antibiotics and some Vicodin, you can try putting an aspirin directly on the effected area, also some icepack on the cheek area? If it's an upper tooth it is way worse than a bottom. No insurance, hopefully it's a side or back tooth that you can just have pulled, they will try to talk you into a root canal, maybe at your age you would go for it, but you are talking end cost of around $500, just for the tooth getting pulled you're talking about 100-200? Get out your credit card, such is life.. most dentists will work out a payment plan, but you need cash for antibiotics and painkillers, the first visit, and the next visit, plus the cost of extraction or root canal, whatever you choose, start getting cash from friends and relatives.....life sucks then you die. Really i do feel for you, i spent alot of money, time, and pain trying to save an upper tooth that would reinfect every year for quite a few years, until the damn thing cracked in half.
Don't wait for an appointment, you call around and find a dentist who takes emergencies, this is considered an emergency.

| It depends what's causing the pain. If there is a cavity, you could try the temporary cavity filler you can get at Rite Aid, Walgreen's, or another pharmacy. If it's an abcess, you can try to pop it to relieve some of the pressure. (Just be sure to sterilize the needle first.) If it's just painful, you could purchase some ambesol. It can be found in the baby section of grocery stores, Wal-Mart, etc. Avoid anything too hot or cold until you can get to a dentist.
Also, since lack of insurance is an issue for you at the moment, you might want to contact a dental school in your area. You may be able to receive services much cheaper than at a regular dentist's office.

| It sounds a lot like an infection or a nerve dying in the tooth. If you have a place near you that sells homeopathic remedies, buy some hypericum. It usually works pretty fast but you really need a dentist and I'm sure they will not refuse to trest you.

| Clove oil or cloves on/around the tooth will help.
Do get to a dentist. Not to freak you but there was a younging with an abcessed tooth that ended up with a brain infection (mouth is close to brain) and died. If abcessed chances are they will prescribe antibiotics before they would mess with the tooth. If you have a regular Doctor, they may be willing to issue a prescription for antibiotics.
Many are on Walmart's $4 list. Don't take your health for granted.
