| On a first date, have you ever had those awkward moments where there was dead silence where your saying to yourself, ok what do I say next. Got to say something or she might think I'm a freak. So your going through your head trying to find something to talk about. I've been on a couple of those before, apparently me and her didn't have anything in common. Have you ever have that happen?

| Here is something I learned.
If you are out on a date at a restaurant you can gage who is doing the most talking by who has food on their plate. I use that as a cue to STFU or start talking depending on that. It seems to work very well and there are times when we would get so chatty that hardly any food was touched.

| How bout them Cubs usually works for me. Or a good starter for a woman
is always a question about her family. Gives her a chance to ask a little
more about you. She's uncomfortable too. Food isn't always a good first
date. I don't like to eat infront of anyone until I know their habits.
I can chew with my mouth closed but grosses me out when I see food flying
out of someone elses. JMO....

| I don't mind those silences...in fact, I'm not compelled to fill them in with idle chatter...that's the gauge to see how comfortable you are with you date. Besides, it's kinda' fun to watch them scramble around to find something to say!

| LOL I did that with a date last night...he filled in the blanks by showing me pix of his last supposed conquests, all the while starring at my tits. I wonder if he noticed that I had my hand on the door handle about a block from my house? LMAO What a tard!

Metu you need to stop dating boys and find a man. Perosnally I would forget any past women when I would be with you and thus have no pictures let alone a desire to show or remember who they where.

| I am a yapper, I hardly shut up on a date, so it usually doesn't happen to me, but if it does, I usually start picking on them by asking or telling them "Are they always this quiet?" "I can tell most of your first date don't go too well because you are way too quiet" "Do you like you quiet men?" "I bet when you are with your friends you don't keep quiet...Go call your best friend now...I want to see what it like to see you yappyng", or if I think she likes me, I'll say..."You are not my type, you are way too quiet for me."
Most of the time it break the ice and they open up more and start asking questions.
One of my favorite is asking them to tell me their worst first date and if it is good, I'll tell them I am going to make this date this date their worst first date and start suggesting outrageous ideas on what it will take to make it their worst. Of couse I never do the things I suggest....

| I was set up on a blind date once and we went to the movies and I guess we didn't have anything in common because we didn't really have anything to talk about. I think we kept looking at each other a lot more than we talked. If we were trying to talk with our eyes, well I don't think we were getting anywhere with that. I kept looking down the aisles of the movie theatre to see if I could escape. I didn't though because I don't think I can be that mean. I even bought her a rose before the date started. Yea, I'm pretty sure she probably threw that away.

| I was n once where there just wasn't much to say. She asked all the questions and they were all phrased to determine my suitability as a husband. It wasn't a date it was a job interview. I was lucky enough not to make the cut.
