| Taking my 13-year old son to Florida to see manatees this summer. Anyone have any favorite spots for us to include on our trip? (Indiana to Florida)
Thanks!

If somebody suggests something that sounds like fun, we'll try to include it. Renting a car, so the route can meander a little. Or a lot.
Somebody already suggested Discovery Cove at Sea World, and I still need to find the manatees. Looking into some recommendations in the Tallahassee area, too.
My area gets bombarded by FL ads this time of year, but I'm hoping a local or someone who's been to FL recently will toss in a fun suggestion.
Thanks!

| Yes.
Try to see a space shuttle night launch. You can google the schedule. You won't believe it. It's about one and a half hours from Orlando.

| Are you a member of AAA--that is an excellent way to ensure help in case of an unexpected breakdown--anywhere in the United States...at any time. They also offer trip info and attractions whereever you are going. I have seen manatee info in the AAA guidebook that members get every month. But you are entitiled to call the local AAA office in your area and ask about what ever you want. It is a great way to save on motels and attraction costs...and food and everything else. Don't forget that auto RENTAL in Florida is also discounted for AAA members. Always look for the AAA sign when you want to go someplace. Hope you can work this out--have fun and enjoy it.
