from what i have heard, the strikes will be limited from 1 to as many as 12 sites of supposed "terrorist camps". the recent kyl/lieberman bill was passed in order to list the "iranian revolutionary guard" as a terrorist organization so they could be bombed. it is well known the u.s. is currently supporting other terrorist groups inside iran to try to destablize the leadership. whats odd is the current puppet leader in iraq was in exile in iran during saddams reign and was trained by the iranians. it only makes sense if you think about it. last week the iraqi government in conjunction with our military were supposed to show a large cache of weapons supposedly givin to iraqi insurgents by the iranians. the press conference was cancelled when it was discovered the weapons were actually from bulgaria. iran is no iraq. they have better defense capabilities then the iraqis ever did (bought from the russians) and have not been weakened by 10 years of u.n. sanctions. they also have midrange missiles that could easily reach isreal, and i would suppose they will use them in retaliation if attacked. this could get very ugly.

If we were to hit Iran, we'd go after their nuclear sites first and foremost. The problem is that they're spread all over the country, and most of them are underground. Those are the one's we KNOW about. The problem is the one's we don't know about. We can fly into Iran with impunity. The best aircraft they have are old F-14's, the majority of which aren't airworthy. The one's that are, have been cannibalized to fly, and their' systems are suspect at best. While Iran hasn't been under UN sanctions, they have been under a weapons embargo and are getting nothing from us. We built and equipped their military back under the Shah, and from what I've read, they don't have the capital to modernize it, to bring it into the 21st century. They have millions who might be willing to martyr themselves, but they can't hurt us. They could hit Israel IF their systems work as they claim, but again, it's suspect. What we have sitting on the tarmac in the region could level the country in unrestricted warfare with little danger from anything the Iranians could counter with. No, they aren't the Iraqis, but not much better. Check out a site, Globalsecurity.org for more info.

This is crazy,

I hope you guys are wrong, I wouldn't put anything past king george, dumbshit.

The [problem with this whole scenario is that while you are talking extremely intelligent military maneuvers, and I totally get it, we can kill them, Our military is so far superior, it is rediculous.

but is what you are missing, is that they have been aware of this fact as well, for 60 years, and they are developing an entirely different war front, where the military doesn't matter.

It is in the global market. all that need to happen for the war machine to be turned off, is for the oil to be turned off. When Opec decides that America is too big for it's britches, and the majority of Muslim clerics support turning their backs on us. they will turn the market on it's head by basing the oil market on the euro, or the yen, and the price will double and then quadruple when we can't afford gas.

welcome to mad maxx land, without a single shot fired.

They own our banks, our companies. and now our military is being owned by private corporations as well.

We can't get rid of Bush until after the elections because the Justice department is GONE. when the new president appoints his cabinet expect trials that make the Nuremburg trials look like hearings.

The Implications to Bush ratcheting things up, is going to be a mighty nasty backlash.

The military isn't "owned" by private corporations. The military is forced to use private corporations due to the extensive budget and personnel cuts mandated by Congress during the "peace dividend" when the USSR and the wall fell. We cut too far and too deeply. We have to contract out basic fundamental functions because of the fact that we just don't have the personnel to perform those missions. During peacetime it costs less. During wartime, they've got us by the short curlies and we're paying through the nose. There won't be any trials, there won't be any war crime sensationalism, there will be a breath of fresh air though, and for that I'm grateful this reign of "King George the ignorant", is coming to an end.
