Is it all right for a guy to have female friends while in a relationship? In my last two relationship, I had female friends before I went out with both of them. They accused me of always cheating on them and when I seen that it was bothering them so much, then I stoped ha ing females as friends. Seemed like no matter how many times I kept telling them that I wasn't doing anything, they always accused me of doing something with them. I'm not a player either, because when I'm in a relationship and I see that there's something bothering them, then ill quit doing it. Then the question can be asked well what if she had guy friends. I would say as long as I 0an trust her then I say its alright. So my question is when I'm in a relationship, should I cut off all female contact for good, or were they just being to the point where they have trust promblems?

I think it depends on your friends. Honestly I can say that I don't mind my guy having girl friends...as long as I'm included in their visits some of the time. If it's always them going off alone together then I see problems. Or if they are the type of girl who tries purposely to take your guy's attentions away from you and have him pay attention to her. (This can happen with a mother or sister, too.) Whoever it is...I'm not playing the game. I always include my guy in the whole guy friends thing, just so that he can see that we're not doing anything wrong, and that the friend really has my best interests in mind and not a different motive.

It sounds to me there was a trust issue and/or their not used to dating a guy who had female friends, I too have female friends tho i seldom go out with them there usually work related aquaintences tho I still keep in touch with a ex gf now just friends since we both agree were better of friends than a couple, even tho when we were together she had male friends which didnt bother me since i didnt feel threatened.
I do make that a point that i have female friends to not hide that from any one, i still hang out with the former mrs from time to time, but its all platonic.
so thats a males perspective.

I don't have any problem with my guy having female friends, and I hope he would be secure enough to not be bothered by me having male friends. If you have earned the trust of the one you love, it should not be a problem. If he cheats with them, I don't want him anyway. Also, why not be their friend, too? If he likes them and he likes you, it stands to reason you would get along ok. Sounds like a recipe to network and make fiends.

I think it is fine to have opposite sex as friends!!!If your in a relationship, you have to trust and communicate, and so if you have that, and are open with each other, there is no room for gossip of someone or a friend coming between the two of you. So yes you can have friends of the opposite sex.

If there is trust and honesty in a relationship then there is no worry about friends. Everyone should be allowed to have friends of the opposite sex. If you love the person you are going with then trust him/her.

I would not have a problem with my man having female friends as long as he's not hiding them. I make sure that my friends are introduced when I start dating someone. I would not want my man to feel uncomfortable about me having guys for friends. I get along better with men than I do women. I make it clear when I'm dating someone that my friends are only friends and if they don't like my friends then they can keep it to themselves or move on to another woman.

I would not drop my friends for someone who may not even be around long. If they cannot accept it, I say move on. If a woman is secure she should not have a problem with it unless the female friends are taking up all of your time. Try including her sometimes when you hang out with your female friends so she knows who they are. If you cannot bring her around your female friends then it will look like you are hiding something.

When you are single, you hang out with all your friends by yourself.

when you are in a relationship, your signifigant other becomes an EXPANSION of your "friends" circle. Lets face it....relationships where you keep the "friends" and the "SO" separate make for half assed attempts on both ends. One only has just so much free time - once you are in a relationship, most of the free time goes to the S.O., OR you have get togethers with your friends that INCLUDE the S.O.

If you have Friday night for the S.O. and Sat. or Sat. night for the women friends? I doubt thats gonna work with too many women....lolol

My ex had no problem with my women friends. She knew I'm not the cheating type. It was my guy friends she hated. Loud, obnoxious musicians who kept me out until the sun came up. I miss those days.
