| I AM THE CHOSEN ONE! I have decided to give myself, mind, body and soul to the DH Scientist. They have contacted me and asked me to be the lab specimen (I was going to use the term guinea pig, but decided not to leave myself wide open with that one, ha!) in their newest experiment about the long term effects that addictions and withdrawals to DH has on a person.
So starting in the morning at 7:00am eastern time, I will not be lurking, posting, reading, or even signing on to DH for 8 days. Yup, 8 days. I am plenty scared too, I am wondering, what is going to happen? Cold sweats? Night tremors? Fever? Spirit fingers? Wall climbing? Pacing the floor? Irritability (more than usual)? Mood swings? Constant thirst? Nausea? Hot Flashes, (wait that is menopause). I am just not sure what to expect? I am hoping they will have me properly medicated, to see me through this experiment.
This experiment seems to me to be for the greater good, so I am willing to 'give it all up for the team', to help out the community, to make sure there are no long term adverse effects of chronic posting addiction (CPA). I know that there are a few who will miss me, and others, those who habitually misspell, use bad grammar, bash men, bash women, start ignorant me, me threads, and the local Fight Club, (oops! the first rule of Fight Club, don't talk about Fight Club) I know ya'll will be glad to see me gone for 8 days. Nonetheless, I have to leave, so I am starting this morning to tell everyone, so ya'll wouldn't think I was sick, dead, or worse yet had been suspended by the new Sheriff. I will be back on May 24th.

| The best , and easiest way to end an addiction is to go cold turkey and never look back..Years ago I was adddicted to Yahoo chat..but once I walked away..I never went back..so I never know if I am missed. It just doesnt matter to me. Out of sight..out of mind.
32 days and counting til I walk away from Dh without looking back..save going to the Dh Bash in August to meet with friends..existing and new.

| Actually I am going to spend the week in my hometown, I have a cabin, or sorts, that my Father built for me, on the back side of his property. My Mother needs me to drive her a few places next week, and my youngest Grandson is having his 1st birthday. So I am going there for 8 days, and it is the land of no internet. They do have dial up, but not at my cabin or at my Parents house, and after high speed, who can do dial up anyway?
