| I have rings on just about every finger. The ring on my left ring finger has two purple amethyst stones. Several times a comment has been made that it indicates that I am married. Is that a general assumption, no matter what the color?

| Agree with both posters so far...Guys are stupid if it isn't a diamond, it isn't an engagement ring or wedding ring. BUT, to avoid confusing the poor guys, leave that finger ringless...

| I think a guy sould not assume that a ring on that finger means u r married. I think a man can ask respectfully if a woman he is interested in is married or not. No big deal to me

| I always glance there once I am interested. But I know a lot of women wear rings on that finger when they go out to slow down the herd some. If you have them on every finger then it just means you like rings.

| different cultures, different meanings, in usa does not matter what stone, or even if a stone is made into the ring. you are married, or engaged.
you want a decent guy, leave it unringed.
men who have no problem with it, could be long term friend already. and knows you
a cheating man, who likes the spice that the woman he is talking to could be a cheating woman her self.

| There is a lot of difference between a birthstone ring and a wedding band. If you like them, wear them. I can't picture them getting confused.
