What do you folks think about having a picnic in the woods?
Somewhere that has either a lake or a stream, where we can have a fire and do hot dogs and marshmallows, maybe even drag out Jason, Danny and my guitars?
I know several spots that are nice, a bit far but not prohibitive for distance.
Kick in some comments and ideas.
Ken

I'm in... would love a picnic in the woods, although I can't make it until Sunday the 1st. If the weather's hot, the higher the altitude, the better 'cause it's so much cooler! How about up above Idaho City somewhere?

Well, above Idaho City would be fine, I guess. I haven't been too far north of Idaho City for a long time so I'm not sure of a good spot. There are numerous places on the head waters of arrow rock.
Let's hear some more ideas folks.

I'm game and I'll tell Bob and Tish, see if they want to go. Sounds like a lot of fun.
I'm thinking after the 1st of the month would be good, since this is memorial weekend and all camping, picnic spots out of town will be totally packed.

Well good morning all you ghosts

Where the heck is everyone, seems like there is absolutely no activity on here anymore. Dang ! ! !
Anyway, I'm going to spend a day or two near the Gold Fork hot springs and will report in after I return. It's going to be a bit chilly and there are scattered showers forecast, just right for a nice long hot soak in the pool.
When are we all going to get together for coffee again?
Speak up people let me know ya all ain't spending the summer in Antarctica....

Sorry Ken, I don't think these people are going to do anything. Lives are going in another direction. the breaking up of people, and so they don't want to share the other with anybody, so I guess that is the immaturity within them. Coffee, anything..........doesn't matter. It is nothing more than a showing, and then back to Antartica as you so well put it.........Have a good time Ken, and look at the gurls.....................smiling.

Okay, I just had a reprieve for a couple of hours tomorrow afternoon. Where will y'all be at about 1:30 or 2 in the afternoon? I'm just getting over a bout of sciatica, so if the gathering place isn't too far from the parking place and not so far out of town that I can still take my grandson out to a birthday dinner, I'd like to join you. If no one else has come up with anything, I'm thinking that one of the small parks would be nice, like Storey Park at Meridian Road and Franklin, which can be found here:

http://www.meridiancity.org/parks_rec/docs/park%20info/storey%20park%20map.pdf

It's nice, has lots of big trees, rarely crowded, and is close for people on both the far east and far west side of things.

Any takers?

Lynette
