Been single for the last eight years and got lost in my work and home and am now ready to find a good woman again to share great times and make new memories. Not sure if that includes marriage, but it will never be ruled out. I suppose that depends on how things develop.......I am a communicator, albeit I an introverted mostly until I get to know people. I work, work out, and commute two hours a day for work and so my weeks are pretty full and my weekends........well, let's just say I'm looking to start enjoying life again. I spend a lot of free time paddling my canoe(s) through the wildnerness and hiking. I enjoy the outdoors immensely and would hope you would too. I am into woodworking and all that it encompasses......antiques and auctions. I enjoy day trips to new areas to browse the shops for arts and crafts and the good restaurants and wineries one usually finds along the way. I am at peace with myself and content with who I am, but one cannot truly be complete in this life without a significant other to share all things with. I hope to start slow and develop something memorable and worthy of sharing. It is true that sometimes we get busy with our daily mundane activities and forget to live......and that with those daily activities it sometimes becomes very difficult to meet good people with their priorities in order. I'm not a bar person or a drinker, only socially and for special occasions, so as I said, its been difficult to meet women of substance. I have to laugh to myself when I hear how we're told as single people to "shop" the supermarkets, libraries, museums, etc.......it all sounds romantic and may work in the movies but like myself I think most of us a bit introverted when wanting to start a conversation with a perfect stranger. I'd like to believe it can happen that way, but well, I guess that's why I'm here, maybe my odds will improve......and in the beginning I'm sure I will find it easier to be more open about myself and my life since its anonymous for now. There is so much more to say but hopefully enough has been said to stimulate some interest, at least for some good conversations now and see where it may lead. I have pictures but will have to download more later. I am a young 55 as I try to exercise and eat healthy on a daily basis. I hope that age won't deter potential conversations or more as I am very active for my age and believe that age is a state of mind and shouldn't keep people from each other if they share many common interests.
