Still single as a dollar bill. Still crazy after all these years. Still trying to meet someone as well as find someone to talk and hang out with outside of work. Lately, trying to meet folks online has not been too successful. Sometimes I wonder if this madness will ever end. But as someone wise once told me, "If you don't succeed, then try, try again." Thus, here I am.
I feel that I am a fun and enjoyable person to be around, perhaps even one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. Sometimes I am very quiet and reserved, other times I am wild and loud. I do feel that I have a quirky, though offbeat and bizarre sense of humor, but hey, at least there is something fun about me!  Sometimes I feel like I don't need to use too many words to let folks know what's on my mind or how or feel, but I have also been known to speak my mind every now and then and even be downright loud and blunt about it. I feel very strongly that fairness and honesty is the main basis for a friendship or relationship. Life is too short for jokes, games, or BS. Also, I am not always swayed by money or material things.
I know I need to exercise more and lose weight, but at least I can still walk through a door without having to turn sideways. I do take baths, shave and brush my teeth on a regular basis. Heck, I even have all my teeth. Also, I do not smoke, drink (OK, maybe a beer now and then) or do recreational drugs.
Outside of work, I stay well read with the news of the world as well as locally. Being that I work in the field of technology, I do keep up with current trends and new ideas as well as work on future technical certifications. I enjoy traveling to the beach and mountains and I really wish I could do that more often as well as travel and visit other parts of this country and the world. I also like to dine out, listen to live music (whether it's at an arena, outside or even at a small restaurant or club), go out dancing (I am NOT Fred Astaire nor will you see me on Dancing With The Stars), do karaoke (it's been awhile, but I think I can sing as good or even better than any of the folks on American Idol). Just like most other guys, I do like watching sports, especially football and basketball. I'm not too much into hockey, NASCAR or baseball, but don't mind watching those sports with someone.
These days, I'm just looking for someone to hang out with outside of work. For starters, some conversation would be nice. How else can you really get to know someone if you're not around that person? Unlike a lot of folks , I don't have a lot of "grand expectations" when it comes to meeting people. Come to think of it, I have no expectations period! Just enjoying some good conversation for starters works for me.
Most people think because I work as a computer technician think that I like to work on computers and be online all the time! I would much rather be with someone in-person hanging out with someone and enjoying someone's company rather than doing IMs, e-mails or even talking on the phone. Actually, being around someone is really how you get to know someone. I do like to get out and do things, even trying out new things here and there. I just wish I had someone who could tag-a-long with me.
The bottom line is, to really know someone is to spend some time with that someone in person. There are no substitutes. I am here hoping to meet someone and so are you. Why else would we be here? Might as well give this thing a shot and see what happens. You'll never know unless you try.
