I'm a first year graduate student after having just received my bachelor of science in mechanical engineering. My area of interest is aerospace and systems engineering.
I admit, I can be a dorky guy sometimes, but I'm not ashamed of it. I've been interested in technology since I was a little boy. I'm fascinated by how things work, and I decided that I wanted to make a career out of it. I have an aerospace concentration with my degree, but I am staying for graduate school to round myself out more to prepare for life after college.
In my spare time, I do spend a lot of time on my computer. The ability to communicate and the vast wealth of information available online makes it hard for me to go long without access to the internet. That being said, I get along just fine without a network connection, by watching tv and movies, listening to music, or occasionally reading.
I listen to mostly classic rock, stuff from the 70s and 80s. Some of my favorite bands are Styx, the Eagles, Journey, Foreigner, and others. More often though, I'm a fan of a song more than I am a fan of a band. That means my music collection is made of a lot of different artists, and many of them I only have one song from.
I guess I'm looking for someone with similar tastes. I think the girl of my dreams will be hard to spot right away, just because she will seem so much like a best friend. I'm looking for someone I can have interesting conversations with about anything. I like a strong sense of humor. I think laughter is a the perfect medicine for any ailment (unless it hurts to laugh, but that's different). I like to liven up situations with a joke, even if it is at my expense. If I manage to get a laugh, I know I made one person happy, and that's what counts. I hoping to meet a girl that can make me laugh, so we can be happy together.
