Hmmm, a little more about me? Here's my story in a nutshell...I recently moved back to Maine after finishing gradschool in Vermont. I moved back to be with my Grandfather and am grateful everyday I made this move because his smile makes me smile inside and out. Although, I'll be honest and say that coming back to Maine at this point in my life wasn't exactly at the top of my "bucket list". Upon graduation, I envisioned myself sitting on my living room floor with a map, a highlighter and a blindfold to pick my next destination. I was city-bound (Boston, NY, Chicago...who knew?) But my heart strings tugged on memories of my grandfather and I and I knew I needed to come home for a bit. Other notches on my bucket list include hangliding, hot air balloon ride,visiting Greece and Italy, going on an African Safari, scuba diving, white water rafting, publishing something, earning my PhD..plus a few others I shouldn't mention until I know you better  . My friends describe me as outgoing, friendly, funny and loyal. I have a hard time sitting still for too long and can be found hiking, reading by the ocean, taking a left down an old dirt road just to see where it goes, shopping, traveling, going to concerts and comedy shows or simply window shopping in the Old Port. But I won't lie, I love to sleep in and have lazy days too! There are nights that I love getting dolled up for dinner and dancing while other nights I am just as happy with a movie and a blanket on the couch. The guy that I hope to meet someday has good family values, is self-motivated and polite, enjoys going out and doing things, does not smoke, wants to have children someday, treats me like a lady but respects my independence, can cook for me , and is confident in his individuality. I am a firm believer that one should not lose their indiviudality in a relationship. It's important to nurture the things that make you 'you'. So yes, what I'm saying is 'guys nights' are allowed (as long as girls nights are equally as welcome).
Some important things to know...I love mashed potatoes with lotsa butter; I sleep with three pillows carefully constructed into a pyramid of sorts, good grammar is important to me, I hate carnations, I don't balance my checkbook or check my oil, I care too much about what other people think, I love Ellen Degeneres/Bill Cosby/Bob Marley/Will Ferrel/Ben Stiller, I drive too fast, I hate being cold, not a fan of spiders, burping and farting is a good way to turn me off, I'm a dreamer, I sing in the car, Oprah is overated, nothing beats spooning, I'm a sap on Valentine's Day, I will not settle.
