I have my own psychotherapy/bodywork practice; also I work in medical research; and I'm very interested in those fields; also interested and involved in Buddhist spiritual practice, meditate every day. I have strong political views that are kind of uncategorizable, radical on some issues, conservative on others, but am not at all politically active, no time to be. Physically I'm very healthy and fairly fit, trying to get started running again, but I do exercise regularly. I live alone, never married. I've been in a number of relationships that featured major emotional upheaval and suffering, so I've had enough of that. Mid-range, short-term emotional upsets are ok, but no more prolonged torture. I'd like a girlfriend who actually liked me pretty much the way I am, minor quibbles allowable. This probably means that you would share at least some of my interests - spirituality, medicine, the body, anthropology, literature, film, psychology (this is not an exhaustive list). Since I devote a lot of time to my professional activities and meditate an average of an hour a day, you would probably be someone who is actively involved in at least one of those things, or maybe you are seriously into some other kind of creative work. I"ve had tons of therapy and bodywork and meditation and so I'm pretty good at communicating and understanding. Both are essential to a workable relationship, I can't really do without them.
