I'm a 34 year old divorced father of two. I have been divorced since 2004. My kids live with their mom and I have a very good visitation schedule. I've been through a great deal in the past few years with the ex-wife, and one serious relationship since. But I'm not about to give up!
Back in the 90's I was a musician, artist, writer, poet, you name it-I was Mr. Artistic. But after my first child came along 8 years ago I started settling down and realizing what I really want in life, and in a partner. As it turns out, it's much more simple, not the jet setting fame and fortune I once strived for. I still write on occasion. I still play my guitar on occasion. But what I really want is that deep love and most importantly commitment. I know it doesn't come overnight. It doesn't come easy, but with patience and understanding of one another it could happen.
I have no problem with my future mate working. It's when she can't leave it at work that I become unimpressed. I am not looking for a career woman who juggles 15 different things on the side as well who needs to pencil me in on her calendar for a date. That's a big turn off for me. Work should be a way to pay the bills and have some fun in this life.
I want to buy you flowers for no reason. I want to make you dinner when you least expect it, and I want to love you fully and completely and only want something on the same level in return. I want faithfullness that neither one of us have to worry about ever. And then, when the kids are gone, mine hers, ours?.....we can grow old together and still hold hands in public...
