I'm a relatively happy-go-lucky and laid-back (I can be spontaneous, still) fellow with hardly any bad lifestyle habits left (except for my tanker mug of cappucino). Friends and acquaintances have mentioned to me I look a little younger than my age of 51 - A vegetarian diet and a youthful attitude on life has helped, along with being a non-smoker, non-drinker, and non-drug user - I am 420 tolerant, though, and can deal with a light smoker and/or social drinker.
I'm not an exercise nut, but hard work is something I've indulged in over the past 35 years in differant avenues of employment. Currently I am employed at an apiary (bee-related business) in Yuba City, CA and am also an Independent Business Owner in a growing Inernet business franchise. Considering my main line of work, my wages are very modest, which goes to say for my life-style as well. The "good news" is is that I'm not beyond spoiling a good lady for my date or friend.
I value integrity, honesty, truthfulness, and an outgoing personality. It's those traits that I value in a woman more than just looks (looks is just icing on the cake). A playful and flirtatious woman is a turn-on to me, especially when it's accompanied with smarts, graciousness, a great personality, and common sense. Ladies....if you like to get your hands dirty and enjoy power tools that's totally cool with me.
My musical tastes are wide and varied, even eclectic. I enjoy late 60's and early 70's rock, and older country music (not today's pretty boy/girl country), sitar, celtic and cajun/zydeco music. The only radio stations I listen to are KVMR (Nevada City), KPIG (Chico), and KZFR(Chico). Rap (what music?!), hip-hop, and disco are the only exceptions to my wide and varied musical tastes.
I enjoy a good flick, particularly one that makes you think, so slice and dice AND airhead movies are out of my league. I appreciate a GOOD western or drama. I can get along without TV, but I do keep informed through the Internet or FM radio.
Politically, my orientation ranges from liberal to middle-of-the-road. It's regrettable about war mongerers (I am a 5 year, honourably discharged Air Force veteran) and religious zealots - they should be practicing peace and respecting other peoples Paths.
I have ended a 24 year hiatus from college courses and am now enrolled with Westwood College (of Denver, CO), taking online courses with the goal of attaining my AAS Degree in Graphic Arts. I am entering into the third term of my coursework.
Basically I'm easy to please and am "low maintenance". I am grateful for the things I have, not for what I wish for or for what I don't have. I'm definitely not into "The Jones Vs. The Smiths" mentality. I will be honest and truthful to any lady, and do not discriminate on a woman's income, religion, or race.
As far as a first meeting goes, a nice time at a fairly quiet restaurant (lady's choice) for good conversation and getting to know each other is just great. As far as anything else afterwards, I'm always open to suggestions.
