Personality
I'm entering my senior year in the University of Maine at Augusta's studio art program. Which I suppose in the end doesn't mean much since I don't intend to stop at a bachelors degree and I want a minor in English as well. I do a lot of writing when I can find the free time, and my art classes now consist of preparing a body of work for a Master of Fine Arts in painting, so these days I'm kind of busy. After taking ten years off from the educational system I feel as though I've had enough of a break and so I'm kind of into everything these days.

My interests are what you might call eclectic for the most part. I'm into collecting books to read for later, and after that interest I'm into finding the time to read them. The stuff I plow through on my free time is pretty weird. I have several books on the history of contraception (yeah, I didn't know they wrote them either; its research for a piece of writing I'm working on), the internal workings of the IRA and the fishing industry in Maine. The fiction books tend to be odder still and I generally don't make a habit of reading books that haven't been on the shelf less than fifty years. The way I see it is if a book has that kind of staying power, it must be for a good reason (though you're welcome to disagree if you like). To that end I've gone through and read a lot of the texts they wouldn't let us at in high school or college. Largely this is what has served to inspire me to pursue the idea (not a concrete one at the moment; i.e., I'd like to graduate someday) of an English minor as an excuse to read even more of these texts. So I guess after saying all this stuff, if you like books then give me a nudge I suppose.
