Writing is something that is amazing at relating not only your thoughts but your heart....my heart you might say is as close as the words I write. How do we write about ourselves? I see others writing about what they like or about what they like to do, but I have yet to see one written about who they are. I question if it is at all possible. Personally, I would rather not see, "I like to have fun and eat". Who we are is probably more akin to the raw condition we observed in ourselves as youngsters. Not teenagers, hormone blinded: not in our twenties, looking to make a world for ourselves, but from the ages of five to ten, when we were cognizant and still forming our opinions of life with our personality traits inherently intact., (sometimes strengthened), with the impressions and experiences of our life, abiding within our soul. Unpretentiousness is still an admirable trait. Sometimes we can let it out and feel that freedom again, or maybe we are too confined by the lives we have created. Life has a way of doing that. It's in freedom that we are born and by the power and presence of freedom within which we strive. All too often we are lost in the pursuit and striving, never to find the freedom. As a young man I respected the elders and romantic power of women. To be lost in that power is earthly heaven personified. I've learned about the elderly, they are usually too tainted for much involving majestic admiration. I've learned a lot about women as well, enough to recreate any emotion that I've ever felt or could imagine, just by a thought or remembrance. That which hasn't changed is the magic within romance: it's unbiased, uncompromising and more than willing to confer it's power and promise. But it takes two to make a fire; a spark and something to burn. Who is there? who will be that spark? or who will kindle all that we are? Now you know more about me than telling you all the usual cliches' and typical responses to "Who I am".
