I enjoy relationships in general. I was a residential adviser in college for 3 years and now that I'm out of college, I'm getting a different human connection from my co-workers, and hopefully once I get more acclimated to my area, new friends. I'm also looking to get into a serious relationship again. It's been 3 years since I've been in one. How people treat and interact with one another is crucial to me.
I know it sounds like a typical chick response, but the most important quality that I'm looking for in someone is compassion. Intellect, a sense of humor and everything else that I'm looking for are meaningless if someone doesn't have compassion. I don't mean that a person gives to charity or works soup kitchens, but rather that they can empathize as well as sympathize with others.
Now, about me. If you're wondering why my profile lists my eye color as blue, and my hair color as blond, which all match up with my picture but says that my ethnicity is black, just know that it's not a mistake - I have albinism. Ethnicity isn't important to me, but if it's important to you, or that your girlfriend or friends look like a certain ethnic group, then you should move on. Also, if you think my being an albino will make me desperate, and willing to put up with things like alcoholism, drug addiction, financial irresponsibility, or other issues that no one in their right mind will put up with, then you're wrong. Sorry I have to make that disclaimer, but that is a common assumption that has been made about me.
I'm hard working, but easy going, a good listener, and thoughtful. I have a good sense of humor, particularly when it comes to mishaps in my own life. If you always get mad/disappointed at the things in life, you will miss some of the potentially funniest moments life has to offer. I am also usually more perceptive than the average chick, and I understand that words aren't the only way of getting to know/understand someone.
I enjoy spending time inside watching movies and reading books and maybe playing my guitar, but I also like to get out, even if it's just doing those things at another person's house. I consider going to a bar, or some other social venue time well spent. I also like riding my bike and playing impromptu games (I'm not exceptionally athletic, but I still enjoy games).
