My name is Jeri Sanford, I was in a car accident back in 2003. I was on my way home from work in Birmingham--CMFCU, Carraway Methodist Federal Credit Union. It had been storming and raining bad all day. I got off work at 4, and like always I called home to let mom and dad know I was leaving. At 4:15 they received another call saying that I had wrecked, and wasn't breathing so they rushed me to UAB hospital. I was in a coma for 3 months, and the doctors didn't expect me to live. They kept telling dad that I would never be better than what they seen. Mom was always such a strong christian, and would not accept what they were saying. So one night in my hospital room mom told dad to get some sleep, and that she was gonna clean me up. She crawled up in my bed and dad heard her pray: Lord take me and let my baby live. That was at 7 that night, and 7 the next morning she died. Think what ever u want but, this is all true! I was still in a coma when they sent me home July 12, and slowly woke up on August 22. Needless to say God showed the doctors that they didn't have the final outcome. Slowly I'm getting better day to day, I still can't walk yet but I will. My left hip was broken and I finally had my hip surgery, so I'm having to build my strength back up. I will walk again, it just takes a lot longer than I ever thought it would!
Anyway I just wanted to share parts of my testimony. I have not been as close to the Lord as I am today. I just want to share His blessings with other people.
UPDATE 3/24/08 My main goal right now is that my story will be an inspiration to anyone and everyone. DO NOT always listen to what man may say, listen and trust in God! The Lord doesn't always choose to heal on this earth but, that's ok b/c then we will be in Heaven experiencing the ULTIMATE love and healing!! Right now I mainly just want friends. If more develops that is great but, maybe my story will help others to see that no matter how bad the situation may seem things are not always gonna end as bad as what u think. =)
I don't want to be around someone that smokes; I hate the smell of smoke, and the smell gets caught in my clothes and hair. I'm sorry but, that's just the way I feel. I'm very straight forward, and outspoken. In other words if u don't want the truth, don't ask!
